Daniel's tribute to the legend Eric Clapton - One Legend to another <3

Eric was the son of 16-year-old Patricia Molly Clapton and Edward Walter Fryer , a 24-year-old Canadian soldier stationed in England during World War II. Before Eric was born, Fryer returned to his wife in Canada.
It was extraordinarily difficult for an unmarried 16-year-old to raise a child on her own in the mid-1940s. Pat’s parents, Rose and Jack Clapp, stepped in as surrogate parents and raised Eric as their own. Thus, he grew up believing his mother was his sister. His grandparents never legally adopted him, but remained his legal guardians until 1963. Eric’s last name comes from Rose’s first husband and Pat’s father, Reginald Cecil Clapton

Eric’s mother, Pat, eventually married and moved to Canada and Germany as her husband, Frank MacDonald, continued his military career. They had two girls and a boy. Eric’s half-brother, Brian, was killed in a road accident in 1974 at the age of 26. His half-sisters are Cheryl and Heather

Eric was raised in a musical household. His grandmother played piano and his uncle and mother both enjoyed listening to the sounds of the big bands. Pat later told Eric’s official biographer, Ray Coleman, that his father was a gifted musician, playing piano in several dance bands in the Surrey area.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

We are very grateful to have represented so many different and talented musicians on our label and we would like to thank all artists involved. Especially our Mastering Engineer Haunted Water & Kilian Van De Water for the gorgeous Artwork again.

Music opens up an unknown realm to people, a world that has nothing in common with the external world of the senses that surrounds them and in which they leave behind all certain feelings in order to surrender to an inexpressible desire.

It is this desire that Deep Ändi tries to express in his single "Niemegk." Music tells stories, but individual sounds can also become stories in themselves, uniting several plots in one emotion and bringing them together again at the end.

This love of sound design is taken up by the two great remixes and is processed in different ways. bawab & Sydka impressively strip back to the essentials and bring the sound of "Niemegk" to the dancefloor with the unmistakable groove for which the two are known.

Iorie picks up on the mystical elements of the original and spins the story further, which takes place on the edge of the distinction between fantasy and reality. As always, Iorie takes you on a journey that offers plenty of room for imagination through attention to detail.

T.A.M.22 aka Davy Vandegaer is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label boss of Futurepast. T.A.M.22 delivers elegant and powerful vinyl-only set, an emblem of the rare musical gems he unearths. His signature way of blending records brings a very unique flow to his performances. With 20 years of DJing experience across Brussels, London, and Berlin, his versatility shines whether in super clubs or more intimate spaces. T.A.M.22 maintains a strong connection to the original practice of DJing. His ability to engage with crowds across different venues, combined with his musical openness, makes each set a distinctive experience. For this occasion, Davy shared with us the recording of his ambient DJ set performed at Ambient Tide, Brussels on 18.10.24.

FunKamel is the musical project of Moti Landesman & Neria Orbach.
The two mix a wide selection of ethnic music flavors, with a strong middle-eastern influence, layered on a variety of electronic styles.
FunKamel was formed in the underground scenes of Tel-Aviv and later on, they stepped out from the bubbling city to perform in many colorful gatherings in around the globe. At the Beginning of 2019, Funkamel founded their record label 'Camel Riders Records' with Laorz aka Laroz Camel Rider. Together they have built a big family that showcases constantly a cutting-edge catalog of multiple delightful electronic genres, fused with traditional folk and organic music.

Eve Lyn is a Zurich-based DJ navigating the space between emotive downtempo and driving midtempo. Her sets are story-driven and deeply textured – weaving groove, playfulness and tension into journeys that connect body and mind.

With her, it’s a deeply emotional rollercoaster ride – moving through the full spectrum of feeling, from tender introspection to sweaty release. She adapts her sound to the space – always tuned into atmosphere and intention, building soundtracks for moments that matter.

A regular at clubs like Lush and Kauz in Zurich, she also brings her sound to rooftops, galleries, festivals and multidisciplinary spaces.

As a resident at Octo Records and contributor to Slomosensual, Eve Lyn has performed across Switzerland, Italy, Germany and beyond – inviting dancers into a space of presence, pulse and poetic motion.
