Live From Home

The feeling of 1 Day later
On this day, I woke up and immediately spent about an hour making a song, just like I used to do on SoundCloud about a year and a half ago. The reason being that Ryuichi Sakamoto had passed away, and I wanted to record my feelings and emotions through my music rather than expressing them through words. For me, music allows me to express my emotions more directly than words. The first comment on the music I uploaded from my friends on SoundCloud was "intense," and I thought it was spot-on. The first metal percussion sound in the track tore my heart in two. In the first mix, the sound was even more painful than it is now. It was so painful that I reduced the number of times the sound appeared by half and lowered the volume. I think I chose those sounds unconsciously at the time.

Day1 R.I.P.R.S.04032023 "intense"

This marks the fourth collaboration with my SoundCloud friend, Seashea. I truly respect him, and I really love his guitar work. We especially have a great connection when it comes to ambient music. When I heard he was going on a journey for a while, we decided to create this track together. I’m deeply moved that our shared understanding across the ocean has come together in this form. For this artwork, I used a photo taken by him at the beach.
I’d like to present this track in celebration of Seashea and his wife’s wonderful journey. 
SeaShea, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

With a multi month adventure road trip down the east coast of Australia on the horizon, Synline shared his dreamy departing gift to which I have the honour of layering subtle guitar interplay.

We found this music and its elements when looped to be extremely calming, especially after a night shift or long day.
