As part of our Sound Meditation Training curriculum we create an Initiation Jam. In this experimental space we open a safe container for our trainees to explore the world of sound. After an initiation meditation we begin to freely flow with our instruments, what then happens is all improvised.

Enjoy this 30 minute journey, played live and improvised by our trainees from our 7 Day Sound Meditation Training Intensive Course.

We are very happy to share this unique tapestry of sound with you all and invite you to open to the sounds and allow them to flow through you.

Calling upon the four directions is the usual way to begin any shamanic ceremony.
Each direction is associated with an element of the natural world and represents some part of human nature too.

We begin in the East. The element of the East is air. The East is associated with new beginnings, awakening, learning, curiosity, and new ideas. When you're feeling beholden to a routine - look eastward.
We then move around the wheel to the South.
The element of the South is fire - heat and light, transformative force, powerful change, joy, and peace.
Next, we arrive in the West.
The element of the West is water. In the West, we experience our emotions, which flow through our lives. When we dam our feelings, just like we dam the water, the pressure builds up until it finds an outlet.
This direction calls us to self-reflection and self-understanding. 
Continuing around the circle we move to the North.
The element of the North is earth. The North represents stability, grounding, and well-being. It's the place that holds us and allows us time and space to heal and grow. It's a place of rest and recovery.

In this sound journey, we are moving through these four directions.
I invite you to turn toward the direction that calls to you today.

About 50 beautiful souls chose to come on a sunny winter Saturday afternoon, and dance their hearts (and pelvises)out with me.
