Evelyn comes from a singing family but expressed her musicality through ballet and piano playing in her youth.  Once the ballet dancing had ceased she started to sing, firstly in choirs, then in her own chamber group and finally as a soloist.
Evelyn has had the good fortune to be taught by the renowned singing teacher Rosa Mannion and to have Charles Wiffen as a regular accompanist.  As a soprano specialising in art song she has sung recitals in Bath Abbey and the Holburne Museum in Bath, and is involved in bringing the best classical music to the children of Bath and surrounding areas through the Bath Music Festival and the Mozartfest.
