Dunno why, but I really enjoyed recording this episode. I was a bit ill for a few days before, but these tunes got me back up on my feet and jumping about like a loon again - just the medicine I needed! Bit of everything as is customary, taking in two of my most recent experiments, a few reworks from people who are much better at reworking things than me, some raw funk, some hip hop, some worldy weirdness, some acid courtesy of the divine Roisin Murphy, and a few hi energy bangers to finish with. I was joined by a lovely little crowd in the chat, and had lots of fun. 
 
In hour 2 I was really pleased to hand over to Uptown Funk for a brilliant guest mix. I’ve been a big fan of their productions and mixes since I stumbled across them a little while ago, and I’m pleased to have got to know them personally a bit since then too. Uptown Funk are two DJs, Antonio ‘Poco’ Alexis and Sam Hall from Huddersfield, with a real ear for an infectious groove. In a short time they’ve released music on some great labels like Rare Wiri, Discoweey, And Friends, and who could forget their amazing Yendo Loco EP on Super Spicy.
