Samosa Funk is back on the Myhouse Radio menu with another awe-inspiring musical carnival from Les Inferno and DeGama 

First up, we have the boogie maestro himself, Les Inferno opening up the vaults and pulling out classics from the likes of Prince, Crown Heights Affair, Marz and Cameo. It’s another spectacular hour of crate digging and swagger from one of the best in the business. 

Continuing the funk shakedown for the second hour we have DeGama. This is a set which subverts expectations and is something quite different from him. A more eclectic and laid back vibe and featuring tracks that he absolutely loves, it’s a wonderful insight into DeGama’s taste buds. 

The boys have been busy with their regular Monday night gigs at Rome’s Hotel Butterfly on Gladiators Avenue, all we can say is we wish we were there with them. Instead, we’re more than happy to settle for two hours of stunning music played over the airwaves, delivered with that Samosa Funk panache.

This week’s special guest is Fran Deeper, a legend in the House / Nu-Disco world, and a huge contributor and influencer to the scene.  Born in Mexico but now living in Palma de Mallorca in Spain, Fran is the owner of the prestigious record label Spa in Disco, which has published more than 150 releases featuring some of the biggest Disco artists from around the globe. Some of the tracks have reached the number one position on the sales charts, while many others have been repeatedly featured in the Top 100 of the most important digital platforms like Junodownload, Beatport and Traxsource. 

Fran has a distinctive yet eclectic sound which fuses nu-disco and electronica, and his extensive musical career had led to gigs in prestigious clubs all over the world, Madrid, Mexico City, Ibiza, Tulum, London, Guadalajara, Berlin, San Francisco, Marseille, Jakarta, Barcelona, Milan, Stockholm or Bali, to name a few. He has shared the stage with some of the most important global representatives of the style like Pete Herbert, Rayko, Thomass Jackson, Ilya Santana, or Ray Mang, making him a veteran of the dance floors.

 Thanks to his long career, he's also collaborated with some of the most well-known international record labels like Midnight Riot, Rare Wiri, NDYD, Spirit Soul Records, Love Harder Records, or Hot Digits. Besides, he's also collaborated with some of the top blogs like 'Music is 4 Lovers', 'Gouranga,' 'Le Visiteur,' 'Deep House Moscow,' 'Red Bull,' 'The London Disco Society' and even radios like 'Vibes Radio,' 'The Basement Radio,' and currently on a weekly program for the prestigious 'Ibiza Global Radio.'

 All in all, he's one of those DJs that feels exceptionally comfortable playing the dance floor, that surprises you with his musical selection and, even more importantly, that achieves the golden rule: Never stop dancing.

Episode 63: Feel Good Friday Radio Show (special guest Fran Deeper)

Groovemasta appeared on the club scene in the late 90's, as part of the DJ organization - Quattro, responsible for a series of house events in Sofia clubs.

At the beginning of the century, together with DJ Yassek, they were the authors and hosts of the show - Jazz In The House, broadcast on Jazz FM radio, followed by participation in clubs in Sofia and in the emblem of those years Comics Club in Varna. In 2005 he founded Adutempo Agency, the reason for holding dozens of house parties over the next 7 years throughout the country. At the same time he also was an autor of Deep Connection radio show, dedicated to deep house music, broadcasted on Nova Radio until 2008.

Then Groovemasta turned to the basics of dance music - funk and disco and in particular their contemporary edits and remixes, which are the basis of his sets in the following years, as a DJ.

In 2021 he released/or to be released tracks for some of the most respectful labes on disco scene as Tropical DIsco, Daje Funk Records, And Friends Records, Good Stuff, Mango Sounds, Soundries.

Fingerman: Disco Waltons Sunday Service on NDC Radio With Guest Mix from Melon Bomb 2021

For this week's edition of Spin City I hosted Huddersfield duo Uptown Funk. I play the first hour  with the lads closing in superbfashion.

About Uptown Funk:
Uptown Funk is the collaboration of DJ/Producers Poco and Sam Hall. Both coming from different musical backgrounds, they share a passion for the 4 to the floor funky dance music scene. When the nu-disco scene exploded into the UK, they knew they had common ground on which to build something special.
Both hailing from the pennine town of Huddersfield, Poco and Sam Hall are currently building a reputation in the north for feel good, funky, nu-disco music through their residency at Small Seeds nightclub in Huddersfield town centre and more recently with their foray into production of both funky re-edits and original productions.
They are now well and truly establishing themselves in the disco and indie dance production scene after breaking top 10 charts with both of their latest releases which can be grabbed as free downloads via the Uptown Funk Soundcloud page.
They're first official release - a 4 track EP on Rare Wiri Records shot straight to No.1 in the Junodownload charts. With more releases last year on Discoholics Anonymous and B Club Milano, Uptown Funk will see many releases on well established labels in 2021 such as Super Spicy Records, Discoweey, and Tropical Disco Records.

The Black Light Disco show launched itself into the myhouseradio.fm stratosphere one more with another classic to get your feet tappin’ and your fingers a-poppin. 

Taking control of the decks in the 'sonic sensory room' deep within BLD Towers is our resident Esteban (aka Ste Hendry), who was spinning tunes form the likes of Pete Maxey & Art of Tones, Lup Ino, Reverendos of Soul, Phonk D, Vaudafunk and D.C La Rue to name but a few. 

For the second hour, we have one of the hottest names on the scene right now on guest mix duties, someone who we’ve really been looking forward to inviting on -  Rafael Yapudjian!

Rafael Yapudjian is considered one of the great names in the Brazilian House/Disco scene and has a consistent and unique musical repertoire that brings together tracks from Soulful to Nu Disco, which incorporate sound roots from Funk and Jazz and resulting in a quite intoxicating blend for the dance floor.

A veteran of over 20 years of career, he had his first DJ residency in the former São Paulo club, Cheers, and as a result, came into the night through the booths of Vinyl and Museum, also including residency at the illustrious Pacha São Paulo, where he did many warm ups for names ranging from Louie Vega to FatBoy Slim. This opportunity opened doors for him to explore the four corners of Brazil and the world, stamping passports in Germany, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Portugal, Switzerland and Italy, to name a few.

He played at the traditional Creamfields Brasil and other major festivals, and has also won awards for 'best Deep and Soulful House DJ' by DJ Sound (2011)and 'Top 50 DJs' by House Mag and Best New DJ by VIP magazine in 2015.

Rafael is also the name behind A Casa Records and the Music Branding company D’Sound Solutions, which currently complies over 200 clients throughout Brazil. In short, he is the complete artist - always open to new sounds and constantly reinventing himself around his true passion: music.

This episode was the usual mash up of genres and bpms, and heavy on the new stuff and promos once again. Slowed things down for a little bit but was mostly in fairly quick territory to bring you promos and new heat from Spa In Disco, Boite Music, Slightly Transformed, Bandolier  and Discoholics Anonymous. Some good friends of mine featuring in the first hour - Jet Boot Jack, Shalvoy, Vincent Galgo - all lovely people making great music right now. 

Speaking of lovely people, in hour 2 i’m really happy to introduce a guest mix from top man Ben Banjo Field. Ben is the creator of The Discography Lessons, a mix series aiming to inspire, spread happiness and support mental health challenges. I was lucky enough to do a guest mix a little while back, and this fantastic project has my full support. What’s more, in an exciting development The Discography Lessons is also becoming a record label! Their debut release will be from Ben himself, and I can’t wait to see what else they’ve got in store. They’ll also be giving a cut of profits to mental health charities, which I think is an absolute star move.

London-based DJ, producer and radio host Even Funkier weaves together Disco, Funk, House, Soul, Boogie, Jazz, Hip Hop and Global delights to create something fresh, irresistibly funky and downright groovy. He plays tunes from across the decades, genres and BPMs, mixing up hidden gems with tried and tested favourites, with a focus on sweet, sweet Disco music brought right up to date for modern dancefloors.

As a DJ he’s taken his trademark rollercoaster genre-fluid sets to locations including Glastonbury, ADE and Westival, playing parties for Midnight Riot, Good Custard, Project Bango, Pineapple Police Horse and DiscNoTheque. And as a producer he’s released on over 20 labels labels including Tropical Disco, Hot Digits, Mango Sounds, The Disco Express, Midnight Riot and TheBasement Discos.
