Derrick McKenzie Boat Party Mix (Rikky Disco July 2025)

The Black Light Disco burns into the atmosphere that makes up the My House Radio airwaves, hitting you  like a cold, super-power jet wash to the armpit. 

It’s the third Monday of the month which means it’s the return of those psychedelic wormhole travellers Esteban and Cole Kutz! The boys have been busy clearing out the pool house here in our summer retreat of BLD Bungalows, ready to fill it in autumn with unused BLD branded sun beds and parasols. It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it…

First up is Esteban, who has a clutch of damn fine tunes from the likes of Mita Game Garden City Movement, Save the Robots  & Winkar Lopez, Kristof Tigran, Re-Tide and Adelphi Music Factory to name but a few. 

For hour 2, Cole Kutz takes the controls for a magic carpet ride of twists and turns, featuring musical delights from Sunner Soul, BOBBY ANALOG, Peanut Butter Orchestra, Random Soul, Hotmood, Cerrone  plus many more.

Times are a’changing for my Funkier Sounds radio show - I’ve made the difficult decision to take it off NDC, its home for the last few years. It’s purely so I can be a bit more flexible with when I do it and the format - guest mixes have been a real pain recently, so now I’ve got the freedom to do one hour, or two, with or without a guest mix. Greg ain’t just a DJ; he’s a proper Bobby Dazzler’s of the groove. A seasoned selector, broadcaster, and promoter, after a mercifully short-lived career in up-close magic, he found his true calling in sonic sorcery. He's been behind the decks since the early '90s - from Midlands house nights to legendary London haunts like SW1 and The Cross, plus a three-year residency at the Big Chill Bar. He's the gaffer behind the much-loved Borderline club night in South-West London and a proud member of the Waltons family & co-hosts the award-winning Feel Good Friday Show with Pete Ellison.
