First thing you have to know with Kellit is that ‘the funkier the better’, a statement he encompasses in both his productions and DJ sets. Initial underground outings in Birmingham towards the end of his school years was the first taste of the music he has come to know and love. However, it wasn't until  the full introduction to the Liverpool scene whilst Studying there at University that really cemented this passion. This exposure coupled with heavy influences from his parents' taste in 80's music and disco have really molded his sound to what it is today.

Kellit’s current direction sees sets full of energy with disco, house and acid influences prominent in an all-encompassing ‘house’ sound. 


Kellit’s back catalog is building up quickly with releases on labels such as The BasementDiscos, Lisztomania, Good Custard, Miura, Segniley Wax, Moiss, Underground Sound and more. The output does not stop and there are numerous unreleased projects ready to find a home and many more scheduled for release throughout 2024. Expect to see the name a lot more in the futur

I kicked off hour 1 with my new (and free) Etta James edit (grab it here - https://soundcloud.com/evenfunkier/night-people), and also dropped a new one from my good friend Pete Ellison (grab that one here - https://www.traxsource.com/track/12760183/get-down-to-james-brown-original-mix) as I darted through the genres with some vintage funk, hip hop, deep and dusty house and a few disco belters to finish. 

I then handed over to the talented producer, in demand remixer, co-head of Hot Gorilla records and all round top guy Andy Buchan for the guest mix. Andy takes us on a varied, interesting and sometimes slightly mad journey through his musical mind, with heavy 90s influences but some newer sounds too. Loved this one!
