Funky New Frisson

The Black Light Disco Show rockets back onto the My House Radio airwaves with another two hour grand sonic spectacle to hitch your wagon to.

This week it’s the turn of Pookie Knights to lead the charge, and they’ve only gone and brought special guest Ben Banjo Field with them! 

In the first hour Ash & Chris will be in the driving seat, spinning some serious quality music from the likes of Young Pulse, Dimitri From Paris, Even Funkier and Husko to name but a few. In the second hour, Ben Banko Field takes over with disco sprinkles aplenty from Hotmood, Babert, Dr Packer, Art of Tones and much more.

6 months later and over 100 lbs lighter (that's right, I've lost 100+ lbs!), The Darsh Sessions returns with its 14th installment: Not For The Faint Of Darsh. Taking inspiration from a recent November 2024 trip to the UK where I played my first ever B2B with The Captain Liam Spence (my brother!), this set unequivocally pushes the tempo and explores the higher BPMs of house, deep tech and disco. Hypnofunk basslines, pounding pianos, outrageous horns and slinky silk vocals are the order of the day, all served alongside a big honking slab of peak time Darshrageous energy. Please accept my apologies for any damaged caused by my attempt at ripping the roof off this mf. Sometimes you just need to travel where the tunes are taking you.

The Darsh Sessions #14: Not For The Faint Of Darsh

2 hours of myself this time, purely because I slacked off on the schedule and didn’t get anyone lined up! Hour 1 was a mix of all sorts gradually stepping up the tempo, then the second hour was a guest mix I did recently that hasn’t seen the light of day yet. Funkier Sounds Episode 165 - Even Funkier

This episode was a rather special one - it’s my last on NDC radio as I’ve chosen to move on from the late time slot to somewhere with a bit of flexibility while I ponder my next move. I’ll be taking it on to Twitch for a bit.

Times are a’changing for my Funkier Sounds radio show - I’ve made the difficult decision to take it off NDC, its home for the last few years.
