Over the languorous course of 33 years and 16 albums, Michael Franks has mesmerized an international legion of fans with his one-of-a-kind artistry. Seamlessly weaving lyrics of stunning sensuality, wit, reflection and literary eloquence over music that tastefully utilizes top shelf shadings of jazz, soul, pop, chamber and music from around the globe. His music was covered by countless international stars, like The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Ringo Star, Natalie Cole, a.m.m. . FLYING MOJITO BROS: 
are two Desert Disco and Outlaw House DJs pioneering the great electronic wilder-ness.
With boots firmly planted in dusty 70s sunsets, their productions take cosmic country funk and classic rock to dancefloors via modern disco and baggy acid house on a bed of hefty contemporary rhythms.
Think the first summer of love meeting the second – Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Haçienda, The Doors at Paradise Garage, The Chemical Brothers at Woodstock.
While the remix masses continue to pick over the bones of soul, funk and disco for novel sample material, these cosmic cowboys look uniquely to the vast catalogs of artists such as Santana, ZZ Top, the Eagles and their present day counterparts for inspiration.
Consisting almost entirely of their own reworks – always with a slab of unreleased edits kept back for their own exclusive live use – FMB have found their DJ sets to be a hit among party people all over.
Their music and trippy visuals have turned dancers loose in clubs, parties and late-night festival tents at Glas-tonbury, Stagecoach, Pikes Ibiza, Mondegreen, Bonnaroo and beyond.
In addition to residencies at The Social, Spiritland and Nobu, they’ve worked their hoodoo on remixes for the likes of Tony Joe White, Scott Hirsch, Katy J Pearson, Jeffrey Silverstein, James Alexander Bright, Little Boots, Gloria Ann Taylor and more – releasing on prestigious independent labels such as Heavenly, Paper Record-ings, !K7 and Ubiquity.

Times are a’changing for my Funkier Sounds radio show - I’ve made the difficult decision to take it off NDC, its home for the last few years. It’s purely so I can be a bit more flexible with when I do it and the format - guest mixes have been a real pain recently, so now I’ve got the freedom to do one hour, or two, with or without a guest mix. I’m going to try and do it weekly too instead of every 2 weeks. It’ll be on Twitch every Monday at 8pm UK, so please subscribe to my channel if you want to tune in. He's the gaffer behind the much-loved Borderline club night in South-West London and a proud member of the Waltons family & co-hosts the award-winning Feel Good Friday Show with Pete Ellison.
