Street lights pass by and all merge into ribbons of gold 
I rest my head on the window the glass is so cold  
You glance this way otherwise your eyes stare the road 
Outstretched hands signify it’s my fingers you want to hold 

My head spins when I see you in disarray 
And I never saw myself as someone who’d feel that way 
But it grows and envelops me day by day
Pull me close and everything falls into place 

I have never been closer (you know so much about me)
Because you’ve explored every corner (nothing I won’t let you see)

Parallel parking embarking on Sundays of new 
Rushes of air stroke my hair when the strands are askew
Every touch that you leave on me makes a tattoo 
Detailed illustrations, watch the constellations we’re all star, dust, too
