How far would someone go because they were told you must "be" a certain way to "be pure" and what harm are they willing to cause because the world says someone who existed before us said it was ok to do? Where does the line between cruel actions excused by biblical interpretation end and morality and compassion for one another begin?

Shatter Everything

Is it a monster? Or is it a spider that's caught you through its web of illusions.

Master of Puppets

We want to believe we have lived many lifetimes, that there is someone out there who is our "match" that we've chased/followed each-other through those lifetimes, never fully getting it right, and when things finally align, or so we think they've aligned, everything falls apart.

 One broken person damaging the other, the love through lifetimes gone and what should've been, was a ghost, that both people had been chasing. "The blind leading the blind, stars colliding out of necessity, and yet we suffer, by intention, just to feel alive"  

It is the mystery of the journey, the chase, that drives us, as if by an unseen force, to chase love and connection again and again, damaged by heartbreak, and yet we still do it over and over again, living for the experience to FEEL something, to FEEL we are not alone and that someone out there, no matter how broken, is searching for us too.

Scarlet

A song about how we see the best in others, friends, family, and partners and in doing so we chase the "potential" (butterflies) and distract ourselves from the reality of who that person really is at the time. 

In doing so we begin to pile on trauma that our ongoing proximity to that person(persons) is causing and in the end, they never meet the "potential" we saw in them and oftentimes all that's left when it's over, is trauma and regret.

The war in the heavens was more than a choice, someone had to come here with the fallen, and who better to be in servitude than other angels, dragged down in the fall against their will, trapped forever, having forgotten their origins, punished as if there by choice and forever enslaved in a world where the fallen are the elite and they're one step ahead of everything.

Fallen

Sometimes we go through life, afraid to set boundaries, afraid to say no, afraid to leave a toxic situation, afraid to live and always existing in a way where events happen "to us" but we are not actively living ourselves. 

At some point we become "lost" along our journey and before we know it, we've wandered so far that we are falling to rock bottom, damaged/broken, with no clear way out. 

All this, after doing as you're told, as society demanded, and at the end you're left alone, minus the parting words of "you should've known better than to listen (to society)" and left to pull yourself out of it (often times alone) or give up and perish. 

The world may say, you did this to yourself and leave you to flounder, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Free Fall

Are you afraid to see the extreme cruelty in this world? Prefer to pretend it's not happening here, not happening to you, "they'll figure it out" "someone else will do something" 

Then, its left to others to witness and speak out, the carry the burden of it all, to live knowing you tried even if you feel too small to make an impact. To not let "evil" win, to not live and perish having done nothing, said nothing.

Will your life always be led with the belief that its best to "keep it quiet?"

Keep It Quiet

This song is about how I was exposed to a really heavy dose of chemical fumes such as TCE, debris, mold among other things while at a job I loved, where I thought they would follow safety protocols and the laws in place to protect anyone working there.

 I was naive to think that, because after the accident, they made sure to cover up every obvious pathway to justice and healing. Justice wasn't what it should've been, for me and those who passed away for the same reasons, before me. 

As time goes on, another increasingly complicated health issue appears and that "poison" I must accept it as it is, the grieving process for who I was and the way life has changed because of it. Learning to see the blessings in disguise that came about because of what happened and living without regret.

Poison

So many suffer in silence, their true thoughts and feelings trapped in their minds, until the pain they carry, that goes un-seen and un-heard becomes a voice within screaming to be heard.

 By that point the fog of depression has set in, causing isolation and a looming fear that speaking up won't be well received, that we as individuals cannot be "weak" and must carry the weight of the pain in silence and exist without inconveniencing others. 

It's a slippery slope and for many it leads to a end to their life. Their friends and loved ones, often had no idea that person was struggling, had no idea the person thought their pain was obvious, and therefore was disregarded, and that eventually only one pathway remained, to turn the screams into a violent action, pain turned inward to end their life.

Society pushes the narrative that primarily women need to be physically modified to appeal to and often keep a male partner (men can also experience this pressure)

Frankenstein is about how that can often lead to abuse, distorted perceptions of self-worth and how the "Frankenstein" their partner pushed to create can turn into a monster seeking revenge.
