Excited to share 'Motions,' my latest EP. It contains 4 tunes with their own dubs, so 8 in total. 'Motions' takes inspiration from UK soundsystem-style steppers, Roots Reggae, and adds a touch of darker undertones reminiscent of the Bristol-influenced trip-hop scene. Using a mix of live instruments and digital elements to create a balanced blend of sounds within the music.

For those who don’t know, my musical journey started around 12 years ago with the crew named Evermoor. I began attending Bristol Dub Club as early as 2010, and it was from these sessions that I became infatuated with the music and culture.

I attended every session in Bristol for about 9 years - I was obsessed and blessed, with events like Bristol Dub Club and Teachings in Dub happening every month! When I started producing music and giving my tunes out to local sounds, and hearing them being played in the dance, the feeling was just incredible.

These tunes I am going to release were all produced during those times from 2012 to 2018. They haven’t been played in so long and are just collecting dust (figuratively speaking, lol), so it’s with great pleasure that I'm able to share them with you. This was a stage of my life I’ll never forget and forever miss, so this music is a way of bringing back some great memories, and I hope you can enjoy it.

The tune was run on the local sound system circuit in Bristol for some time, especially at the legendary Bristol Dub Club. If you were attending those sessions around 2013-15 times, you may recognize it.

This was one of my first productions where I really started to craft my own sound and got really heavy into production and producing roots and dub music. To this day, it is still one of my favorite productions.

Since the digital release of 'First Partial' it has been played by sound systems internationally and was regularly played by Irations Steppas and Mystic Fyah. After receiving such good feedback I decided to do a small run, limited edition only 100 copies!

'Breathe' is more on the roots side of reggae and dub, with more focus on melancholic melodies and an emotive rhythm. The EP takes its name from the idea of pausing, reflecting, and finding presence. For me, music and dancing are pure forms of mindfulness, and with this project, I aimed to capture that experience. Each track follows a traditional format, offering a full tune followed by its dub version.

I'm very proud of this project, and I hope it brings you as much joy and introspection as it brought me in creating it. Love and respect, every time.

Everest Dub is a Roots Reggae and Dub producer from Bristol, based in Barcelona, Spain. He has been producing music for over 10 years with several releases under his belt from vinyl to digital. Everest Dub started his musical journey with his crew Evermoor Sound who later changed their name to Numesa, of which Everest Dub is still an active member. Everest Dub is a solo project and he will be releasing music with "Numesa Recordings" amongst other labels around in Europe.
