Next up on the @idlecellars mix series is a dear friend and one of my fave selectors @cherrystones. When I was asked to curate these mixes the simple premise is to arrange a soundtrack that would accompany a nice glass of wine as the sun goes down. So when I asked Gareth Goddard aka Cherrystones (aka Godsy to his friends) for a contribution I knew it was going to be something really special and what an epic treat it is. G has always been ahead of the curve musically. So much so, people have created entire record labels around his discoveries and whilst people struggle to keep up he’s always a few steps ahead. I’ve often tried to get him to slow down so people can catch up. That’s never gonna happen. Truth is, I’ve learnt so much from Godsy. A série de podcasts da alter recebe mais um integrante da Toy Tonics: Kapote, também conhecido como Mathias Modica,  além de ser o big boss do projeto, faz também o corre da base, e seleciona pessoalmente os artistas para a gravadora, e também é designer, tecladista e produtor. 

Ele lançou música sob os nomes Kapote e Munk (em sua antiga gravadora Gomma Records). Antes de lançar música orientada para a dança na Toy Tonics, já produziu discos de artistas como Peaches, James Murphy, WhoMadeWho.

Mathias é um colecionador de música apaixonado e adora fazer mixtapes…

Kapote aka Mathias Modica runs  Toy Tonics and Kryptox records with two friends in Germany. Besides finding and producing artists for the label, he also publishes an graphic magazin, designed t shirts and is a keyboarder and producer. He released music under the names Kapote and Munk (on his former label Gomma records). Before releasing dance oriented music on Toy Tonics he  used to produced records with artists such as Peaches, James Murphy, WhoMadeWho, The Rammellzee a.o.on the now sleeping Gomma label. Kapote - Alter Disco Podcast 126

Creativity and personality are the main caracteristics of this brazilian duo formed by Marcelo Abreu and Diogo Vaille. After a long history in brazilian electronic music scene, these two guys got together and already put their first tracks made as Bruce Leroys project on one of the most vital deep-house labels at the moment, the OFF Recordings. Now, they are already being charted and supported by artists like Joyce Muniz, Doctor Dru, Tiger Stripes, Jay Lumen and many others, and their unique fusion of Deep, Disco, Funk, Techno, Hip-Hop, and Garage keeps making more and more fans all over the world.

"Without trying to flatter SlothBoogie, but flattering them, we really enjoyed Philippa’s release. It’s one of the best EPs of the year so far. The Tiptoes’ track fits perfectly alongside the classic “The Curse”. SlothBoogie consistently delivers music of excellent quality across different dimensions.

In this set, we’ve mixed in previously released tracks from our label AUREUM and two unreleased tracks. “Acaju” and “Maravilha Marginal” are the next two EPs from our label, and we have a lot of belief in these tracks. We included the Art of Tones version for our first release on the Aureum label. Also featured in this mixtape is our collaboration with our favourite band, Azymuth, and the remix by Felipe Gordon for our partnership with Bernardo Campo.

Since we lost the legend and icon dj/producer Andrew Weatherall I decided to explore his music a bit as I should have known more than I did.
I always site one of Andrew's sets at Sankey's in Manchester as one of the best dj performances I've ever seen and I've seen a few! 
He told a story with house music, a journey so I've tried to mix this tribute to him in that journey style, more by careful track selection than eq as the records are so beautifully twisted with lovely long intros and outros enabling the style of mixing I heard Mr Weatherall perfect from day dot.
Enjoy the mix -  RIP Andrew Weatherall taken far too soon but never to be forgotten, Thank you, Dave Johnson.
