In this first episode, we discuss ideas around the Grandmother Hypothesis. Using personal anecdotes and a little bit of chaotic conversation, we discussed the benefits of grandparents through three critical aspects: generational-social learning, parental assistance and child survival, and generational transition. We briefly discuss their role in generation gaps, the emergence of the internet and the growing result of “ageism” in our society.

Beta-Episode #1: Why Do We Have Grandparents?

This is an intro about the philosophy of anthropology and how a foundation of philosophical reasoning is important before we jump into the chaos of theories and hypotheses that everyone seems to have an opinion about! 

With a little history, a little science, and a bit of interpretational liberties, this episode explores how anthropology thinks differently than a traditional science and why that can make it confusing and interesting.

A few things: I was a bit jumpy and stuttery this time, so sorry if some of the edit cuts are a bit... dramatic lol, but feedback on pacing and density would be great!
Also, pronunciations... sorry. That's all I can say, is sorry. I did my best. 
As far as the controversial opinion part, well, we all have our biases, and i would love to hear your thoughts on ancient history, human evolution, and your favorite grandma stories!
