Summer Groovin'

Los Angeles based producer Nick Alvarado and vocalist EVeryman have teamed to form Little Giants, who aim to make proper hip-hop music for your mind, body and soul. Pairing inspired, thought-provoking lyrics set over crisp, funky beats, the sounds of Little Giants harken back to the golden era of hip-hop. This release commemorates the memory of Nick “Pumpkin” Alvarado, who touched thousands of people with his signature music productions and acclaimed DJ sets at top music festivals and clubs across the US and abroad. He tragically passed away on March 25th 2016, but his generous spirit and magical music will continue to live on.

To honor his memory, Nick’s best friend and Little Giants production partner, Evan “Everyman” Shafran, started The Little Giant Acorn Foundation for The Arts, a non-profit organization that helps children get started in music or the performing arts who otherwise could not afford to do so. Nick absolutely loved to share his passion for music and performance art with the next generation and nothing gave him more joy.

By purchasing this LITTLE GIANTS album you are helping to ensure that Nick’s spirit continues to shine while ensuring that the next generations of “little acorns” have the means to pursue their creative passions. It was always a dream of Nick's to have a vinyl record of his own. It serves as a symbol to our community that Nick “Pumpkin” Alvarado will never be forgotten and to always let your light shine bright. <3

Evan Shafran a.k.a. EVeryman delivers a fluid flow, with conscious optimistic lyricism. His high energy beats convey influences from old school hip hop and reggae which brings the crowd to life up on their feet. As a DJ, Everyman drops anything from breaks, glitch hop, sexy house, to drum and bass. Everyman is one half of 'Little Giants', a hip hop group formed with LA DJ/ Producer Pumpkin aka Nick Alvarado.

EVeryman, aka Evan Shafran is also a screen actor, seen briefly in the oscar award winning films "Barbie," & "Get Out." Also check him out on Netflix's "Griselda," "Dead To Me", HBO's "Barry" and in the upcoming films "A Hollywood Christmas," "Something From Tiffany's" and Deon Taylor's "Don't Fear." He has most recently starred in Smashwerks Films "Storyteller." The film was selected as a semifinalist for "Best Dramatic Short" at The Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. You can see also catch him in his hip-hop comedy web series entitled "Boyz in the Wood."

EVeryman plays in memory of Pumpkin, his best friend, Little Giants teammate, and musical comrade who passed away on March 25th, 2016. His sets include unreleased Little Giants productions, classic Pumpkin remixes, and some of Pumpkin's favorite songs. Plus some brand new EVeryman collaborations and unreleased gems. 

In Honor, He has started a society called 'Little Giant Acorn Foundation for the Arts', a not-for-profit charity organization established to provide music and arts programs to children who do not have the means to attain them otherwise. To further the legacy, EVeryman will be realizing Pumpkins' dream of having a music label and their music on vinyl - watch out for the full catalog of Little Giant Acorn Records singles and remixes coming out on "Little Giant Acorn Records" in 2018 with new remixes from Fort Knox Five, Qdup, Pumpkin and more! 

He's performed and toured with acts such as Pretty Lights, Odesza, Mark Farina (to name a very small few) and has graced some massive festival stages, such as Coachella, Burning Man, Shambhala, and Lightning in a Bottle. Peep his music mixes here:
