Here's an uplifting, experimental jam to set your summer vibes into motion. I think May and June are my most favorite months of the year. I used to spend them waiting for summer to be here, instead of enjoying the beauty that already exists - the best parts without all of the extremes. EVeryman has recently delivered his debut EP which sees the versatile vocalist seamlessly fuses his love for both hip-hop and electronic music. After making his debut with producer, Nick “Pumpkin” Alvarado, as part of their collaborative hip-hop group, Little Giants, on EVeryman’s first solo foray, “Speak the Speech,” he collaborates with some of electronic music’s top young producers to deliver some of his best work to date. On the triumphant opener, “To Be or Not to Be,” EVeryman sets the tone early by getting down over Connect the Dot’s futuristic, G-Funk flavored breakbeats, before teaming with Headtron music producer, Stephan Jacobs on the sublime, “Summer Firefly.” EVeryman also teams to great effect with fellow Los Angeles-based vocalist, J Brave, as the two trade socially conscious barbs on “Divine Grind,” which boasts Sugarpill’s signature style of sonic grooves. 

On “Speak the Speech,” the music from EVeryman serves to inspire while challenging conventional thinking. His sharp lyricism and overall energy he brings to each of the songs will move you and then have you reaching for the repeat button. Evan Shafran, also known professionally as EVeryman, is an American rapper, actor, comedian, DJ, and B-boy. He is recognized for his conscious lyricism, high-energy performances, and multidisciplinary contributions to music, theater, and film. Shafran is a member of SAG-AFTRA, Actors' Equity Association, and ASCAP.
Early Life and Education
Shafran was born in Portland, Maine, to Jeff and Theda Shafran, proprietors of Tommy’s Hardware and Scuba Diving shop. He began performing at age 7, encouraged by his mother, Theda, who passed away in 1997. His brother and best friend, Brad Shafran, is a dog lover and incredible yoga teacher in Maine. His Father still resides in Maine with his step-mother Dottie. 
Shafran graduated from Deering High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Theatre and Sociology from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York, graduating summa cum laude. He later relocated to Los Angeles in 2008.
Career:
Music
As EVeryman, Shafran is known for his optimistic and socially conscious hip-hop. He co-founded the hip-hop group Little Giants with DJ/producer Pumpkin. He has performed at major festivals including Coachella, Burning Man, Shambhala, and Lightning in a Bottle, and has shared stages with artists such as Pretty Lights, Odesza, and Mark Farina. He currently runs the Independent Music Label, Little Giant Acorn Records.
Acting and Theater
Shafran's acting credits include appearances in films and television series such as Barbie, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Get Out. He starred in Storyteller, a short film that was a semifinalist for Best Dramatic Short at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. He is also an associate producer with Mir Productions, a Brooklyn-based theater company, where he co-wrote and performed in plays including If There’s Jack in the Box Get Out and Hear NYC. 
Other Work
Shafran co-authored the children's book The Little Giant Acorn, available on Amazon.  He is active in advocating for social and environmental issues and promoting diversity and representation in media.
Personal Life
Shafran resides in Los Angeles, California, and maintains strong ties to his roots in Maine and New York City. He is an avid Star Wars fan and continues to engage with various facets of the performing arts. Peep his music mixes here:
