Let's go, acid electro! For the second month of 2022, we have again a talented girl that knows how to deal with filthy acid breaks:  Kimmah! This young Rotterdam-based DJ decided to start spinning records by herself in 2020, as clubs were forced to close due to the pandemic.  Genre-bending between hard-hitting breakbeats, high octane bangers, and rachet vocals, is what creates her unique sound. We are definitely thrilled to have her for our fifth On Acid series. Let's get on with it!

Vision:
Subsequent is a symbiotic vision, coming together in a spectrum of creative dicziplines. Nexto music and visual arts, three performative Elements navigating through the sequences of our co-created experience. As a dialogue of diverse methods and expressions, the composition of the pieces deals with different concepts of the perception of time, in relation to current dynamics between subjective processing and social processes:

The fragile constant: The moderation, as a Projection of its audience Expectations … hopes … truths … believe-systems. Constructs of a past, which shapes our ideals of the present. It is an illusion of stability, slowly fading out.
A dance against Gravity or the movement of sensual impression and authentic expression, as a perceptible manifestation of the present. The celebration of a moment.
Pause: An acoustic ritual of deceleration. A meditative pitch down, to facilitate the conditions of processing impulses and transform them, through the channels of reflection, into perspectives.

Based in Rotterdam and resident of FOMO, she will strike her raw Acid upon us here. During the pandemic, she started playing on multiple dutch radio stations, such as Operator. With the combination of old-school atmospheric rave tunes and funky electro selections in her sets, she makes a massive leap in the scene with her mixing skills. Ready to hit hard in the clubs! This June, we are here with our 9th "On Acid" show, and this time we went more to the southern parts of Europe by inviting the Lyon-based acid fanatic Jibis. He strives to touch multiple electronic genres containing different kinds of acid styles with his current set. Moreover, he did his first EOA release at volume 6, where a slowly-evolving acid belter "Acid Generator" was composed! We are looking forward to dancing on acid for this one!

Wavey, dreamy, summer-vibing acid is on its way from Scandinavia. 2022 is half its way, and this month we will have the Norwegian duo: SYNK. This set contains multiple eclectic touches of acid, and this duo will build up the energy to a ravey ecstasy. They are releasing on various labels, where they also did the release of the acid-roller "Acid FX" on EOA volume 7, which they also played on this On Acid set. Sunglasses on and vibe with SYNK!

After one month of "summer break" we are back with a new 'On Acid' mix! This September, we have Noémie, a berlin-based DJ and producer of (hard) acid techno.
With influences from 90s acid techno, she has collected a bunch of sick records to play a full vinyl set for this one. 
In this hour we can expect crazy acid patterns in a high energy pace. Oldskool acid that long for going back to a 90s rave!
Moreover, she has released on EOA volume 6 with the track "Acid Summer". And yes, what an acid summer it was! Lets go!

Mysterious, melodic and dark - Portuguese can-do-no-wrong-er @lakehaze is back, adding to his impressive catalogue a four-tracker EP named 'Coordinates Of A Decaying World' for Lisbon's ever-attentive Paraíso.

Off-beat toms and rim shots paired with squelchy, slippery, acid make the opener, 'Galactic Federation', feel as bouncy and polyrhythmic as a non 4/4 track, playing a delicious illusion on the audience - completed emotionally by beautifully textured stabs and pads that speak of longing and perhaps of ethical space exploration to escape the pains of this Earth.

Reverb-drenched arpeggio acid and digital choirs welcome the listener in a grandiose, almost goth-like way, offset by an improvisational, on-the-go arrangement spirit, an impression that is met by the track title 'Jamming in Dracula's Castle'.

The B side opens with fat kicks and bass, its textures reminiscent of dutch and Belgian rave traditions; expertly merged with a Moroder-like synth-a-delic motif - always propulsed by that driving, taking-no-prisoners bass and acid lines.

The last track of the EP takes us to sunlight-drenched territories in comparison, with a warm sub bass and classic breaks serving as a base to another one of Lake Haze's expertly programmed acid lines.

The beautiful pads and melodies prevail, but the feeling in this closing number gives us an optimistic glimpse into a better future, after an EP that is about showing us some moodier, shadowy emotional rave bangers.

R&S founder Renaat Vandepapeliere returns with his personal RV Trax series showcasing the sounds he plays on the dancefloor.  
Part four carries off where the other volumes have left off with more underground electronica and techno.

Veteran French producer DJ Oil has released for the likes of Blue Note (as part of Troublemakers) and BBE.  ‘Addis’ continues his explorations into sample heavy house with a hint of electro that made his recent ‘Bref Avenir’ album such a joy.

Halosaur is a new alias of Stephane Lefrancois another Frenchman who usually goes by SLF on labels like KMS.  Recording as Halosaur lets him indulge his electronica influences and get serious on his modular synth set up.

Tom Flynn has released  for heavyweight labels like Planet E, Dirtybird and Hypercolour.  ‘Avenue A’ balances deep mechanical rhythms with sophisticated piano motifs.

Healing Noises is up and coming French producer Marianne Novomesky.  Her track ‘Palm Tree’ is  dreamy, stripped down, funked up, sun-baked house.
