it’s been three years since I’ve started listening to gorillaz and I found this song again. idk why I was surprised at the cover art for kids with guns NOW if I was fine with it  years ago 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Band of Georges: What's Going On

5/4 is the second track in the Gorillaz' 2001 album Gorillaz. The title is a reference to the time signature of the song. 

It was originally intended to be a single with a corresponding video, but was replaced with 19-2000. However a storyboard version is available for viewing on YouTube. 

The beginning of 2002 saw Gorillaz cultural stock in the UK still on a high with award nominations and notably the appearance at the UK BRIT awards, opening the show. To remind the public that the album was still out there, a single was required. Tomorrow Comes Today, although released previously as the lead track on an EP was chosen as there was a video readily available, and also because the original release had not made much impact so it would be new to most people. The biggest treats for the fans on the package were probably the revised Gorillaz biographies and a new original B-side, 'Film Music' a mischevious title which tied in with the Gorillaz movie Damon and Jamie were talking up to any interviewer who'd listen (and, Gorillaz having conquered the world by this point, these were not few in number). As this is the only original B-Side not compiled on any version of G-Sides, the inclusion of 'Film Music' also makes this release more desirable for collectors.

Tomorrow Comes Today

Rock The House was the third Gorillaz single released from the debut album. Rock The House is known as the only other Del Tha Funkee Homosapien track available on the debut album. The single got a fair amount of radio play but could not be said to achieve true 'single' status in territories outside the UK, where its chart position would at best be described as 'acceptable' for a third / fourth single. MTV however lapped up the video so from this point of view it was a promotional success - the video would later be offered as a purchase incentive bonus on most editions of G-Sides. There were three excellent B-sides across formats which would become firm fan favourites.

Rock The House

Kids With Guns is a song featured on Demon Days as the third track.

It was released on 10 April 2006 in the UK as double A-side with "El Mañana" as the fourth and final single from the album. Unlike its Top 10 predecessors from Demon Days, "Kids With Guns"/"El Mañana" reached #27 upon its release in the UK. It features Neneh Cherry on guest vocals.

El Mañana (Spanish for "Tomorrow") is the seventh track from Demon Days. It was released on 10 April 2006 in the UK as a double A-side as the fourth and final singles from their album Demon Days. "El Mañana" along with its other A-side "Kids with Guns" reached number 27 upon its release in the UK, a significantly lower position than its predecessors.
