A few months ago, I stumbled upon Michael Jackson's videos and music after many years (whom I was a huge fan in my childhood and teenage years), and I was thinking about how he's an absolute case-study of capitalism's hyper-commodification of humans.
On a parallel musical level, I realized how his music often had indeed an element of progressiveness, in sound design, production and his extra ordinary use of vocals.
I saw a potential of aggressive, industrial, noisy take on some of his works, which I ended up remixing in one of his tracks.
Here it goes. Another mood swing of mine. It's open for download.

Evestrum is a newborn musical project of Emanuele Musca.

Through complex modular synthesizer textures, the extensive use of lush reverbs and the granular deconstruction of samples, the aim of the project is to explore the connection between sound and memory, with particular focus on those recollections gathered in dreams or in meditation.

The attempt is to drag the audience far from the listening place, to glimpse beyond everyday life and leave a feeling of quiet detachment and balance.
