Episode 75, the three quarter century, was a bit of a special one - it was broadcast on Valentine’s Day, which is also my birthday! Couldn’t resist slipping in a couple of loved up smoochers, but this episode was all about the promos really, with two new cuts from myself and some brand new heat from disco friends Pete Whitely, Pete Ellison, Jack Tennis, Shalvoy, Da Lukas, Robert Ouimet & Dave Godin and Mascott

As it was my birthday, I’d lined up an extra special guest for hour 2 - Michael Gray!!! Michael is a hugely respected and established British DJ and music producer, best known for his hits ‘The Weekend’ & ‘Borderline’ He is also one half of the dance music production and remixing duo 'Full Intention' who have been at the forefront of Dance music since the early 90s.

London-based Michael is one of the most in-demand Artists on the global dance music scene today. Having relaunched his solo career as Michael Gray in 2018 to pursue his original love of Disco, Michael has consistently placed in the top three house artists on Traxsource - an incredible achievement and a worthy accolade for Michael's world-class production skills. Throw into the mix awesome DJ sets at the best events in the UK, and a host of chart topping tracks with Jon Pearn as Full Intention, and you start to see the full picture of one of the UK's most talented Artists. He has DJ’d all over the world from MOS in London to Hi (for Glitterbox) & Pacha in Ibiza and as far and wide as Poland, Germany, The Philippines, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Georgia, Spain and The Netherlands.

Stepping up as our penultimate guest mix for the mixtapes of 2022, we have London based duo Collective Groove. 

The boys have been making movements on the scene over the last year or so with their renowned radio show 'That Disco Groove' which has seen them host a stellar roster since its inception.  The shows see's them pick the best new releases from the multiple sub-genres of disco and disco-house followed by an hour long exclusive guest-mix from some of the finest DJ's & Producers on the scene right now

More recently the boys have gone on to host a new show 'A Chance To Dance' where they take a look into the deeper side of their music tase. Seeing them and their guests explore intrinsic deep jazz, dusty house, filtered disco, soulful deep beats, classic house, 4/4 and so much more

Evil Smarty is known for a string of respected productions and has released chart topping releases on a variety of labels including Midnight Riot, Disco Fruit, Masterworks Music and Wall of Fame. With worldwide support from tastemakers and DJ’s including the likes of David Morales, Greg Wilson and Late Nite Tuff Guy his dancefloor friendly tracks always hit the mark.

As a resident for Shade Disco, Evil Smarty has supported The Shapeshifters, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Dr Packer, Michael Gray, Hifi Sean and many more, show-casing his versatility and talent to keep hands in the air and bodies moving until the early hours. 

Along with Paul Groves, Evil Smarty is part of DJ duo and Club night Project Bango. What started out as a bit of fun and a desire to showcase some great music, rapidly morphed into an instant hit in their hometown of Guildford at late night venue “The Alley Bar”. Filling the venue each month and keeping everyone dancing into the early hours.

Wahine & Jehan - Spin City, Ep 277

The Black Light Disco Show returned for its weekly tickling of the  myhouseradio.fm airwaves - and here's the whole two hours in all of its glory! 

It’s an all residents affair again this week with Esteban & Goz priming the confetti cannons and arming the glitter bombs here in the BLD Towers events space. The lads have been working away in the ‘Sonic Achievables Lab’ all weekend so it’ll be nice for them to take in the neon gases and disco particulates of the events space. They’ve both got their nebulisers so we assume they’ll be ok.

Esteban kicks things off with a set that's heavy on the bass and weaves effortlessly in and out of disco & house, featuring the likes of Corrado Alunni, Birdee & Keli Sae, Never Dull, More Amour and Jo Paciello to name but a few. 

Goz then takes over for the second hour - taking things up a notch and swinging things around from jazzy nonchalance to deep grooves and killer disco. Expect pure fire tracks from Delfonic & Kapote, Saison & Miss Patty, Andy Bach and Aaron Swales amongst others.
