Dropping as part of Tectonic Recordings' 20-year anniversary compilation, Rhassoul is my stripped-back soundsystem killer; crafted for deep, weighty impact. The drums pull from my Moroccan heritage, laced with hypnotic rhythms, while the bass is steeped in dub culture, paying homage to the foundations that shaped this sound 🍃

The title, Rhassoul, comes from the earthy Moroccan clay I grew up using, but when split into 'Rhas' + 'Soul', it holds deeper meaning: 'Rhas' nods to the Jamaican social movement that inspired the birth of this sound, while Soul reflects the warmth and depth infused within the track.

The compilation comprises many producers making their Tectonic debut, including re:ni, Beatrice M., Yushh, Flora Yin Wong, and Sicaria, alongside stalwarts like 2562, Shed, and Distance.
