One record to highlight in your collection :

Honestly, this changes all the time but if I have to commit, I’d say : Jaco – Show Some Love (Rhythm Invention Remix) [Warp Records, 1993].
It is one of those records that just feels like a secret weapon. Released on the iconic Warp label during its early years, it carries that unmistakable UK underground energy - percussive, raw and full of euphoria. The Rhythm Invention Remix in particular has this infectious off-kilter groove that instantly grabs attention without being obvious about it. The track could’ve been released yesterday or 30 years ago and still feel fresh. It slapped then, slaps now and will keep slapping in the future, that’s for sure!

One label to highlight :

This is a tough one for me as well. Part of me wanted to go classic, but in the end, I have to give it to Moxie’s On Loop. 
It’s one of my absolute favorites. The label consistently delivers a forward thinking blend of House, Disco, Techno and beyond. All curated with Moxie’s signature taste and precision. It champions both emerging and established artists and every release feels fresh, thoughtful and completely dancefloor-ready. A modern staple that never misses!

One club/party to highlight :

Back in February Syntax Error invited Sanaz and me for a b2b. They teamed up with Bastion at some “you-had-to-be-there” secret rave in Amsterdam. The kind of venue that makes you question your GPS - grease-stained floors, busted machinery and a dancefloor vibrating with pure energy. It felt like they hijacked a mechanic’s fever dream and turned it into a rave. The DIY spirit was off the charts - raw, spontaneous and full of love for the music no fluff, just function, flashing lights and a fog machine on overdrive. Syntax Error is the kind of chaos we need more of!
Btw: on the next edition on 25th of May they are bringing their concept to Garage Noord.

Alright, full disclosure: I actually snuck two of my own tracks in this mix but “roj” is special - it’s the first one I actually finished without getting stuck in the endless void of “just one more EQ tweak” kurdish percs, organic samples and a groove that walks the line between hypnotic and horny. It’s basically my audio love letter to the dance floor - personal, groovy and made to connect.

One sentence about the mix :

I’m fully possessed by 00s house - so simple, sexy and with the right amount of attitude. I wanted to explore that sweet spot between then and now, crossing the bridge from archival textures to present day punch with tracks by Kepler, Capeesh Society, Steffi & Rosati and even two of my own *screaming*. 
So if the timeline gets confusing, I’m doing it right!
