Whoa, this is super dreamy. I love the lush atmosphere and those beautiful vocals, especially when the vocal harmonies come in. This is sweeping and gorgeous.

I was sitting on a beach in Florida when presented with the opportunity to work on this beautiful track.  The calm ocean is what helped to inspire me to write the melody.  I actually pinned up pillows to the walls of my hotel room with my microphone in the middle to be able to record this. Tom Hartney & Pensive - Gracious

On the cold and gloomy shores of Baltic - we used to record mostly unrushed, meditative music, resembling those same cloudy landscapes around our homeland.

This time we have rather something different, Daybreak re-introduces retrowave textures back to the Evocativ catalogue, which used to be there back in 2015. In a way, it also bridges the past catalogue with new ideas to be explored in upcoming releases in 2019.

This EP has been collecting dust on my hard drive probably since January 2019, I was very much determined to try and find a label for it. Doing self-releases for over 6 years got somehow boring and felt like a plateau. 

Though after over six months, it suddenly did not feel boring anymore (as did trying to write comprehensive e-mail to sell the release to label). So since I did not find any power within to contact any label, I did find some time to finally put it out on another self-release. 

EP is highly inspired by music I was listening to during numerous business trips between Stockholm and Tallinn during this spring, hence the name and the cover. Then I was really into organic sounds woven into electronic beats (Think Bonobo, Four Tet, Maribou State). 

Here you will hear numerous acoustic and traditional elements layered over the modern synths and club-styled drumbeats. It is different from the previous release, I am pretty sure, the next one will be different form that one.

Few years ago Enlia wrote a beautiful dream ballad “Heroes“ for a project of Sandra Von Keller “WE CAN BE HEROES“ (helping homeless people). After our first few songs together (this is the 5th one!), she asked me which vocal I want from her for the next project. I picked “Heroes“ as I could foresee evolving it into a great liquid remix. Here is the result. :) Peace!

The first among many releases soon. Solarity is an indie rock instrumental with analogue synths and ambient elements. It is infused with childhood nostalgia and good memories of the past. Written and recorded during the self-isolation of summer 2020 and is filled with the hopes for better 2021.
