For his 3rd release, Bawrut joins the young French label Hard Fist, it’s hard to put a label on this record, and that is what we like. Like a sorcerer, Bawrut mixes a wide range of influences and energies, concocting a percussive and acid potion based on organic grooves and heavy hypnotic beats that drive the dancer into a trance.
The 3 tracks of « Drums Of Passion » are built on the foundations of French, African and Italian songs, which shows its richness and singularity. You can meet here Serge Gainsbourg, Enzo Avitabile or Tony Esposito, a surprising record from a surprising producer. Bawrut manages to create a mystical and perfect match of those cultures, with a spiritual and unexpected result. Like ephemeral tribes sharing their language, music and beliefs on a dance floor, with no boundaries.
If you want to understand the nature of this record you have to look at the releases name. « Drums Of Passion » is borrowed from an album of Babatunde Olatunji, released in 1959. A manifesto that is reminiscent of the idea that music is a universal heritage with unknown origins, fed by the influence of our ancestors.
With this second release, Hard Fist established its weird identity, still heading in cosmic, queer, tribal and unexpected directions.

It’s that time again… Every summer Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant imprint celebrates another ground-breaking year with a far-reaching collection.

Ranging from palpitating ambience to chuggernaut technoid trips; the stirring 16 track set features late night creations from old friends (Red Axes, Zombies In Miami, Mike Simonetti, Moscoman) new friends (Simple Symmetry, Perel, Julian Stetter, ) and friends that have been Correspondant kindred spirits since day one, but have never had the opportunity to cast their magic on the label… Until now (Black Merlin, The Golden Filter, MR TC, Yula Kasp & Mi.ro).

As always, the vibe is deep, smoldering, emotive, innovative and unapologetically cosmic as we’re pushed headfirst into Correspondant’s boundary-less soundscape. From the coiled spring funk of Javi Redondo’s ‘Fictional Friendship’ to the hypnotic harmonics and trippy vocal textures of Uriah Klapter’s ‘Breeze’ via the slinky arpeggiated charm of Marvin & Guy’s ‘Cowboy Disco’, it’s another sublime excursion from one of the most consistent and considered imprints on the left side of techno.

Keysound co-founder Blackdown re-ignites his “Rollage” series with the 4th edition: “The Hunger EP.”
 The release sees four tracks with diverse intensities, yet forged all at one tempo, and cut from the same laser-riddled soundbank. One weightless, one rolling, another impactful and the 4th an ex-war dub banger: all of them, including a 5th that sees them mixed them all together, are explorations of darkside 130bpm rollage. 
Ten years since Keysound began testing the creative possibilities of 130bpm, the underground is bubbling. DJs from across the dance music spectrum are experimenting with darker rolling flavours in their sets from Walton to Darwin, Zenker Brothers, Skee Mask & Pinch. The More Cowbell Facebook group’s enthusiasm spills over into club night & streams. “The Hunger” is growing.

Gli EVOL Djs sono Valentina Gruer & Anthony Wan, progetto b2b nato nel 2011 per gioco e per caso, spinti dallo staff del Margot / Il Barcone con i quali hanno condiviso primi passi, i successi ed il leggendario affondamento di una famosa chiatta del Tevere.
Da lì tutto prende forma velocemente fino a realizzare il loro primo tour danzante in Sicilia con il festival Onda Wave , edizioni 2012 e 2013 .

Nel 2013 gli Evol DJs si fondono con la crew di 2Many Nights, nasce La Dinamo, con programmazione mensile al Forte Fanfulla, il giovedì.
Il sound è eclettico, tra dirty electro, synth electro funk e techno, comprensivo di un live e 3 Djs fissi, gli spazi del forte a disposizione ospitavano street artists, installazioni audio video e mostre interattive di artisti locali emergenti.

La Dinamo ha presentato artisti come Infinite Livez (Ninja Tune // UK), Cybernova (Pocket Panther Records//IT) Delaylama (Technicolor Dischi //IT), Rainbow Island (Flying Kids Records//IT) Howbeatswhy & Honeybird and the Birdies, The Flying Madonnas.

Successivamente, come EVOL Djs, collaborano con: Pub 12 de tutto - Forte Prenestino, 30 Formiche, Init, Circolo degli Artisti, VARCO, Spin Time Labs, Free Field Fest, Tram Depot, MONK, Sinistre Noise, U.R.B.E. Teatro Centrale, Officine XN, Locanda Atlantide, fino a Liverpool, Regno Unito, dove hanno collaborato agli strabilianti festival del teatro storico Kazimier come Il Krunk Fiesta, Mythopoeia affiancandosi a band del calibro dei Barberos, Stealing Sheep e Dogshow e dove hanno partecipato all’apertura dell’Invisibile Wind Factory, il centro creativo culturale del Merseyside.

Nel 2015 si uniscono al collettivo di Visiva e di Varco Pigneto, partecipando al contest - show di Guestar, aprendo le danze per artisti del calibro dei Massive Attack, nelle profondità delle catacombe dell’Appia Antica.

Gli EVOL Djs sono anarchici ed autodidatti, il loro ideale di festa è un onda che spezza i generi e che trova nella deep techno e l'electro funk moderno tutti gli elementi per forgiare il loro messaggio di amore, prepotente e cattivo, in un crescendo caldo e voluttuoso per tutti gli amanti del vizio.
