The Lark was recorded in our bedroom using one mic and multi-tracking. We each brought a small level of expertise and really grafted together to make this DIY style of recording.

This song itself was written about a time when one of the band members read the 'For the Fallen' poem with four other boys, all aged 19 at the time, in front of the students at their campus on 11th November. The idea that all of the boys reading the poem were the same age as those conscripting struck a chord with us.
