50 FREE Vital EDM Presets | Bass, Leads, Drums, FX

Here is my first attempt at writing a Filter VST.

This one is based again on techniques found in the Vadim Zavalishin paper: "The Art of VA Filter Design".

This time I've extended and finessed those techniques, added some more, and created something reall special:

An emulation of the KORG MS-20 Low Pass Filter (Late Model, not the early one, that'll come  next!).

I've written an exact digital solver for the entire analog circuit including the zero delay feedback path, and the diode clipper in the feedback path.

DIVA is providing a raw waveform to filter, and the reverb is from Valhalla Room Reverb.

A song written over the year of 2016, "Were You Wrong?" delves deep into a very personal story close to my heart and is the result of much emotional pain and suffering, whilst at the same time started the healing process. It only made sense to sing the song myself, resulting in this release being the first song I've written, sung and produced from start to finish. In 2018, a brand new "Deep Mix" was completed and the single was finally ready for release.

“Sprouted and Formed” is the inaugural album from enthralling electronic duo Rawtekk. Hailing from Hamburg in Germany, Rawtekk initially caught the attention of Med School with the sublime “Snowflakes” which features on the 2011 edition of the label’s popular “New Blood” compilation series.

Rawtekk will also be a familiar name to discerning fans of techy/neuro drum & bass, having released on labels such as Subtitles and Noisia’s Division Recordings. Past collaborations include tracks with fellow Hamburg resident and close friend Phace (Neosignal).

Fast forward to 2013 and Stefan and Christine return to Med School with their first ever full-length long-player which effortlessly combines precision engineering with elegant song-writing sensibilities.

Opener “A Magnanimous Kind’s Will” is a beautiful, dreamy utterance with a distinctive take on dubstep, whilst elsewhere we have eerie, melancholy tracks such as “Anywhere” juxtaposed with introspective drum & bass cuts like “Photone Recruits” and the spaced-out beatless melodies of “Ventricle”.

Keeping us on our toes, Rawtekk really up the ante with tough, gnarly drum & bass numbers “To Be A Space Monkey” and “Monopolists And Robberies” which dominate the second half of the album with their impressive force.

“Sprouted and Formed” is a captivating story told through a range of soundscapes and emotions… profound and haunting, surreal and cinematic, brutish yet sensitive, bringing together complexity and simplicity.

With over 20 years of production experience, 6 compilation album appearances with 17 released singles, an on-line repertoire of over 62 releases and a genre pool that spans Classical to Drum and Bass - evolutionary theory aka e-theory aka Luke Emrose has had an eclectic and striking production history.

Starting in Adelaide, a chance meeting with Mark7, 5158 Records label owner and 1997-98 Triple J DJ Mix-up contest winner, set in motion a string of events that forever changed the face of the local Adelaide music scene. Along with vocalist Lana, the three were nominated for the 2005 SA Dance Music Awards Local Release of the year for their Drum and Bass anthem - “Like The Sun”, which received world-wide radio and club exposure. Next, collaborating with now-signed Technique Recordings artists D Jon and Skyver and 2003 Australian Idol finalist vocalist Lesley, Emrose co-produced the first ever 5158 Records world-wide Vinyl release, “Gimme Something”, which was later also signed to Technique Recordings via a remix by prolific Perth-based Drum and Bass producer, Phetsta.

Now residing in Sydney, Emrose has composed/produced music for companies like Random House Australia; producing many and varied styles of music for online book marketing campaigns and trailers - from classically inspired Orchestral arrangements to Glitch and Breakbeat jingles whilst also maintaining a regular stream of Drum and Bass releases for the popular 5158 Records CD compilation - ‘Adelaide Drum and Bass’ - now in it’s 6th series (Emrose has contributed 14 singles for the series since it’s inception in 2002), and more recently a string of Trance and Progressive House tunes.

Emrose has recently worked with Lee Safar on the singles "I'm Here" and "We Jump" - both available on Beatport, and is currently hard at work on Lee Safar's up and coming Electronica album.
