A lot of the work was just trying to bring out that punch in the mids that helps give this style clarity so upwards expansion and a broad boost in the midrange helped in this area very much! a little M/S EQ'ing was used to open things up stereo wise and also a bit of boosting in the highs just to bring further life to it.
