Vitess is back on his own label Retro Futura with a four track EP of stand out material. The French artist has been producing inspired moments into the electronic, charging emotive pieces fed through his own experience and surroundings.

And there’s plenty of it. Last year, the busy producer served up 10 tracks on his first album, setting a delicate tone spanning between ambient and the dance. This blend of musical introspection and energy led house music makes for a well rounded package that continues into the next.

Kurt Baggaley is back on Something Happening Somewhere with his trademark drawn out manifestations and trance inducing melodies. Remembering Infinity is an 8-minute ode to the limitless, waves of arpeggiated notes and subtle pads wash you away with an endless display of dazzling forms. Trading off your mentally accepted shape and exchanging it with that within us that is unbounded. On the same side we find Mattheis taking this sonic meditation to the club environment, channeling the blissful experience to our inner dancer. Stretching, bending and condensing the sonic tapestry.

On the B-side Kurt Baggaley shows a different side with electro slow burner ‘Under It’s Watchful Eye’. Packing a more sinister vibe while peaking inside our Orwellian society, it slowly unveils a more mature reflection. Completing the story is Awanto3, reworking the digital only electro track ‘Detect’ into a house injected vibey piece. Think scrungy vocoders, rumbling drum computers and walking bass lines.

The jungle was a place not to be taken lightly or with little regard, it was dangerous and had the potential to swallow you up within the misty green vines at any moment. Wild things lurked in the dense, thick bush - things which man had no place in pretending to understand or own. They were free beasts of a different environment. Khan's mantra had always focussed on live and let live, it was not the place to disturb whatever they might find but to simply observe with wonder. 

Tunnelvisions release a new LP on Atomnation, a superb voyage through electronic obscurity with some big room elements thrown in for good measure along the way. Very good.
