This is one of those songs that kind of wrote it self... CJ Pandit and I were sat jamming in his studio in Leicester when he played those chords and before we knew it, we had the 'Can't Get Close' hook! Both of us are big fans of layering vocals, creating textures with the voice and this record has plenty.

I then invited friends David Dyson (Drums), Dayna J Fisher (Bass), Giacomo Turra (Guitar) and Emma Johnson (Sax) to come on board and bring their own vibe! And there you have it people!

“I often find myself feeling the urge to escape with my wife and dog Bruno. Pack our bags, jump in the car and just drive! Heading for a somewhere like the north of Scotland. Find ourselves a little cottage, light a fire, wrap up warm and recharge. I feel most grounded and happy when in nature and the highlands in particular, so this song is sort of my love letter to that place. I will have my house on a hill in the highlands one day, I WILL!”.
