Mr McKay is back on Drumcode with an EP that is very close to home, titled ‘Glasgow Safari’. Harvey has blended his synonymous synth stabs and vocal hooks together and has created another outstanding EP. The drums are fat and chunky as always and allow Harvey’s ideas to flow effortlessly over a solid foundation. The smooth use of dynamic throughout Harvey’s tracks also create impressive drops to add to another exceptional EP from Harvey.

What I really enjoy about DJ’ing is being able to tell a musical story. And as a producer I like to make music that helps propel this narrative. Like any good story you need a start, middle and 
an end – and Ironing Man is very much your opening chapter. It sets the scene; it's the sort of record I like to open my sets with; and it allows me to take the story in any direction. Whereas with Feel Good Now, you're at the point where you really should go to bed but you can't put the book down. And it's the same with this record – it's 5am in the club, you really should go home, but you're hypnotised, you're lost in the groove.

Toolroom label boss Mark Knight delivers his first EP of 2015 on his flagship imprint and in doing so, states his musical intent for the impending year. Fresh from the recent #RESET campaign, 
Mark puts the new ethos and musical direction of the label into a solid 2 tracker that ticks the boxes of upfront, accessible and quality house music. ‘Ironing Man’ is a groove driven peak-time 
track with big builds and trademark Knight production whilst ‘Feel Good Now’ turns down a heavy bass and synth driven techno route and is catered for the more underground floors.

Pleasurekraft have teamed up with Carlo Lio to revive the 2001 hit 'Genedefekt' which will be released on March 2nd on Relief Records. This will be the American Techno duo's first release of 2015. DJ Mag have got their hands on it for it's readers to listen to! 

Previously Pleasurekraft have done remixes for Green Velvet’s Cajmere moniker, including remixing Green Velvet's collaberation with Sonny Fodera 'You're The One'. They have returned with Carlo Lio and remixed a Green Velvet classic. Listen below and let us know what you think in the comments.

A new name to join the ever-expanding Truesoul roster is ‘Okain’. His first EP on Truesoul majestically crosses the paths between house and techno. Using deep underlying sub bass rhythms throughout his tracks, Okain creates grooves that maintain an extremely funky feel throughout this EP. The use of percussion helps to reinforce this and keep the free flowing momentum going strong.

The second installment of re Interpretations form Slam’s latest, critically acclaimed album Reverse Proceed sees Soma look to yet more highly regarded Techno artists to provide their reimagining’s of their favourite tracks from Reverse Proceed. Long time Soma collaborator Gary Beck makes a welcome return to the label alongside fellow Scottish upstarts Clouds and finally Dutch Techno wizard, Jeroen Search. Each brings their inimitable style to the project.

Gary Beck steps up first with his take on Catacoustics. His fiery brand of looped out Techno take the already tough Catacoustics into another realm. Gary comes out, all guns blazing using the original hook to great effect as it trips out over his ferocious kicks, thundering percussion and powerful dance floor groove.

Not shy of a fierce remix, the Clouds twosome give Resolved a thorough going over. One of the more ambient tracks from Reverse Proceed, the beatless, breathtaking original is well and truly given a proper workout by the young Scottish producers. Filtered, shaking percussion leads us into the analogue warmth of the Resolved pads. This light start rapidly gives way to a full on assault of rhythmic destruction as Clouds turn in a serious weapons grade Techno track. 

The influential figure of Jeroen Search closes off this EP in fine form with his version of Cirklon Bells. Widely regarded as a true innovator in Techno, Jeroen shows off his skills with this remix as he powers in with a straight out 909 workout infused with hypnotic synth hooks. Given the live treatment, Jeroen is able to keep things exciting with the remix and easily pulls out a highly addictive remix.

With Pan-Pot’s eagerly anticipated album, 'The Other’ on the horizon, it's only fitting that we begin early with a glimpse of what’s to come. 

'The Other One' is the first of two EPs from the duo's upcoming long player and with the two carefully selected tracks; 'Pina' and '808 Nirvana', it's exactly what you come to expect from the duo. 

'808 Nirvana' is a white knuckle ride laced with fast paced stabs, shakers and snares while meteoric rises carry you into deep space. 'Pina', aptly titled after the newborn addition to the family, is a bundle of energy. It constantly grows larger and more complex before finally unleashing a fierce, sonic blast that wouldn’t seem out of place on the soundtrack to a Hitchcock film. In perfect Pan-Pot fashion. 

'The Other One' is the perfect teaser ahead of the full album release, with both tracks the epitome of the Pan-Pot sound.
