자신이 만든 모든 곡에 자신만의 색깔이 묻어나오게 하고싶다는 리차드파커스. ‘리차드파커스’는 '파이 이야기(Life of Pi)' 속에 등장한 벵골호랑이 '리차드 파커'에서 모티프를 얻어 만든 이름이다. 모두에게는 두렵고 결코 익숙해지지 않지만 없어서는 안될 존재가 있기 마련이다. 그 존재를 본인은 리차드파커라고 정의하였다. 하지만 결국 리차드파커는 우리 모두의 내면 안에 존재하지 않는가.

Hi I’m OOHYO and this is my first EP album, Girl Sense. I think writing music is like taking pictures, both ways of capturing a moment’s feelings and thoughts.

 I wrote the songs for this album to put together images and monologues of my late teens and early twenties, that sometimes thrill me, sometimes turn me melancholy, sometimes leave me unsure or unaware of my own feelings.

안녕하세요? '젊은이' 입니다. 

경계를 서성거리던 날들의 흥얼거림이 첫 싱글 앨범으로 여러분과 처음 만나게 되었습니다. 
수록곡 "젊은이" 와 "백수" 는 제 20대 중후반의 선명하지 않은 한 시절이 담겨 있는 곡들입니다. 
노래를 짓던 쓸쓸하지도, 아늑하지도 않던 방들은 이젠 미용실과 주차장으로 변했거나 다른 누군가가 살고 있지만 노래를 들으면 의자에 걸쳐진 몇 개의 옷가지와 눅눅했던 이불 등 노을이 살짝 낀 방안 풍경이 떠오릅니다. 

당시의 조급했던, 애매했던, 불안했던, 아쉬웠던 여러 감정들도 다시 생각나고요. 젊은이의 지나간 이야기이자 지금의 이야기, 앞으로의 이야기일 수도 있는 노래들이 다른 젊은이의 이어폰에서 자주 흘러 나왔으면 좋겠습니다.

안녕하세요? 싱어송라이터 '젊은이'입니다. 
지난해 발매된 데뷔 싱글 “젊은이” 이 후 두 번째 싱글 입니다. 
이번 싱글 “라스트 씬”은 경계에서 밀려난 어떤 사람의 이야기이며 
두 곡은 각각 겨울과 봄의 한 장면을 담고 있습니다. 

Scene 1. 떠나 
그의 상황은 좋아질 기미가 보이질 않았다. 
결국 오늘, 그가 꽤 오랫동안 바라 왔고 준비 했던 것들은 어그러졌다.
설상가상 소중한 사람도 떠나 보냈다. 

흠씬 두들겨 맞은 듯한 저녁. 
뭔가 영화나 책에서만 보아오던 
비극의 주인공이 된 거 같아 계속 헛웃음이 나오다 
건물에서 나와 인파 속에 섞여 걸었다. 

여전히 공기는 차갑고 
회색 구름을 잔뜩 머금은 하늘은 어둑 어둑 해져간다.	
건조하고 충혈된 눈, 하나 둘 반짝이기 시작하는 거리는 들떠 보이고 
하루가 유난히도 짧았던 그 오늘에서 빨리 떠나고 싶던, 
벗어나고 싶던 그의 노래. 

Scene 2. 사거리 
꽤 오랫동안 연인이었던 두 사람. 
몇 번의 시행착오가 있던 이별은 결국 일단락 되어 남남이 되었고, 
이제 계절도 여러 번 바뀌었다. 

오랜만에 찾게 된 그녀의 동네, 
함께 자주 지나던 사거리의 풍경은 변한 게 없었고, 
푹 해진 날씨를 음미하던 그는 횡단보도에 서서 신호를 기다리다, 
시선이 멈춘다. 

건너편엔 들떠 보이는 그녀, 그리고 팔짱 낀 처음 보는 남자. 
아직 자신을 발견 하지 못한 그녀를 바라보며 
미소를 짓는 그의 노래.
