The Miseries, Holland's latest garagerock sensation, have released their first official single “Skinflint”. The band are set to play Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht next weekend and are touring The Netherlands before playing Eurosonic Festival in january. The band's spiky, unbridled energy on stage has been transferred to their untitled debut album, to be released on Excelsior Recordings (Jacco Gardner, Triggerfinger, traumahelikopter) in March 2015.
 
The 4-piece band from Amsterdam went their separate ways ten years ago after starting out as a local guitar pop band. After surfing, singing and drumming all over the world the band got back together early this year to pick up their first love, garagerock with clear references to punk and powerpop. As part of their first headlining tour, The Miseries are playing Le Guess Who Festival in Utrecht on Sunday the 23rd of November and the Eurosonic-Noorderslag Festival in Groningen on January 17th.

Lola Kite is ontstaan als een project onder de vele muziekprojecten van Keez Groenteman, Jasper Verhulst en Bram Vervaet. Inmiddels is het uitgegroeid tot hun hoofdactiviteit. Lola Kite is niet een band met een strakke rolverdeling. Keez doet de leadzang, Jasper speelt de meeste bas en Bram heeft het vaakst een gitaar in zijn hand. Maar de batterij synthesizers, sitars en samplers wordt op het podium en in de studio eerlijk onder het trio verdeeld. Eigenlijk kunnen deze multi-instrumentalisten met alles uit de voeten.
