When The Imposter Is Swing

This isn’t the easiest thing for me to say, but I’m only delaying the inevitable by staying quiet. As of today, the Excess Content Tournament is officially cancelled.

There are a multitude of reasons why we have made this decision (some I world personally rather not discuss), however I want to assure you that none of them are out of disdain for the project itself or the grander tournament community as a whole. While EC didn’t work out, and there are definitely things I would have done differently, I in no way regret starting EC. Working on this project has been a blast, and I’ve gotten some great opportunities and met some even greater people through it.

I won’t leave you empty handed however, we’re gonna show off some of what we had prepared before production stopped, including some cut/scrapped content, and maybe even something special at the end. If I’m not too busy expect some of that to drop throughout the upcoming week.

I’m not sure if I’ll get around to doing another tournament-type project in the future (believe me, I have ideas), but even if I don’t I want to thank everyone who’s stayed with us this long. It genuinely means the world to me that people were interested enough in this silly little tournament to stick around.

In the year 2009, Earth and the human race suddenly found itself attacked by a mysterious alien swarm! And just as suddenly it was thwarted, as their leader turned out to be more into manga and plastic models than invading. Enter Keroro, current leader of Planet Keron’s A.R.M.P.I.T. Platoon. He enters the tournament along with his vast army of four in a horribly misguided attempt to not only dominate the memories of the Pekoponian people by spreading himself across the universe, but also to return home and inform his home planet that no, he is in fact not dead as they thought. Though there’s still one question about this clownish commander on everyone’s mind: What’s with the costume?
