DO YOU GET THE FEELING YOU’RE BEING WATCHED?

Krypsis and D-Nite fire up the XS remix engine for their debut on excess, creating a sound that is both raw and polished, gritty and ethereal. 

Perth-based Krypsis drops straight into “Warden”, an electro-infused number that is fit to soundtrack a night drive through the backstreets of the Eastern Bloc. Krypsis builds around his signature deep and fuzzy bass with an eerie, creaking palette and malicious synth stabs. Handing off to Belgium’s D-Nite for track two, “Glitch” starts up with percussion that matches its namesake and grows into what already feels like a set-closing track, with swelling synths and choppy breaks. 

As we move to the remix side, D-Nite’s reimagining of “Warden” takes the ominous tone of the original to a well-earned crescendo using lofty arpeggios and screaming leads. Krypsis takes a grittier approach on his “Glitch” remix - this is tough-blooded machine music fuelled by smoke and flashing white lights, itching to be let loose on UK dancefloors.

Basilica Blueprints Vol.2 carries on from our debut release compilation to bring a barrage of club functional and experimental pieces all wrapped under the banner of the Basilica ethos - trying to expand on the nuance and experimentation side of functional dance music fit for the club.

Balancing with drum heavy, rolling pieces combined with choppy and staggering beats, all designed to crush through a dancefloor, BBV2 has already cemented itself on the festivals and dancefloors of 2023, playing through Dekmantel, Blitz Club and many other iconic names, and the list is sure to grow.
