Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Also an accomplished DJ, Emi’s long undulating sets have been applauded for their impeccable track selection and exquisite programming. As one of Argentina’s most in demand DJs, Emi has travelled the world, delighting crowds in Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Spain and more. A recent highlight in the Argentine’s sets has been his unofficial remix of Massive Attack’s ‘Girl I Love You.’ Released in 2010 as part of the band’s ‘Heligoland’ album, the song would go on to become one of the LP’s most recognizable tracks, racking up more than ten million plays on Spotify in the process. The latest installment of our free download series welcomes Adam Sellouk and Matan Tamal with their take on ‘Rumble’ by Skrillex, Fred again & Flowdan. Hailing from Israel, Adam Sellouk first emerged in 2021 with a contribution to Steyoyoke’s Paradigm collection. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, Adam quickly caught the attention of world class DJ Miss Monique, who signed him to her Siona Records imprint for a two-track showcase later that same year. 2022 would see further successes for Adam, with Nora En Pure’s Purified imprint being the landing spot for ‘Mirage’, a well received production which saw play from Agents of Time, Innellea, Kevin de Vries and Mathame. Meanwhile, fellow countryman Matan Tamal has enjoyed similar success since his debut on Steyoyoke in 2021. Over the next two calendar years the Petah Tikva resident would record projects for Awen Tales, Duenia and Lowbit Records. Having previously collaborated on ‘Polar’, a track which was released via Awen Tales last year, Adam and Matan decided to work on a club effective version of ‘Rumble’ by Skrillex, Fred Again & Flowdan. Released as part of Skrillex’s 2023 album ‘Quest for Fire’, the dubstep/grime fusion proved to be one of the album’s most popular tracks, racking up close to one hundred million streams across a six month stretch. As a much requested track in the sets of Argy, Innellea, 8kays, Human Rias recent sets, we’re happy to offer their bootleg version as a free download. Enjoy
