Under his Xr/spool: moniker Michelangelo Perrone enjoys the exploration of unknown territories in which forces of the universe interact with time and space in order to distort reality.
The notion of constrast is essential to capture the meaning of "Void Lands", a distant world in which the beauty of nature is closely linked to its brutality and both of those merge in a pleasant agitation.
This chimera is translated into music thanks to wild but mastered interactions through which powerful polyrithmia stands against hypnotic samples, mostly issued from the artist's personnal field recordings.
For his first album, Xr/spool: paints a dark and mysterious canvas that invites us to pay more attention to the smallest details that may help us to grasp the complexity of this new world we're in.

"Amici di vecchia data, abbiamo iniziato a collaborare per la produzione del disco di Michele. Trovandoci affini in termini di gusto estetico ed espressivo abbiamo deciso di sviluppare insieme il mixato per Trascendanza.
L’intenzione era di mescolare brani, suoni e ambientazioni sonore in modo da rispecchiare l’idea che ci siamo fatti del core di Trascendanza: il suono come mezzo, strumento, da cui lasciarsi trasportare in una danza “rituale” 2.0.
Un'astronave con rotta verso un mondo frenetico e schizofrenico, plastificato, a tratti grottesco, in cui decidere chi essere e perdersi in un vasto cyber-rave di avatar.

Sconsigliamo a chiunque di skippare qua e là nel mix, sarebbe come interrompere un antibiotico: o te lo fai tutto o non avrà effetto alcuno."

xr/spool: is a talented italian experimental producer whose purpose is to depict unknown territories in music. After releasing a wonderful tape earlier this year on Comic Sans Records, he pursues his collaboration with the label by delivering a one hour show in which ambient landscapes are crossed by powerfull experimental club music.
