"Highly regarded around these ways for introducing the likes of Ronce on his Dawn Records label - with whom he collaborated on the ‘Aquatics’ LP - and a string of ace compilation cuts, visual artist-turned-producer Hajj renders his most ephemeral yet affective conception of a negative ecstasy in ‘Drag Me Into the Void’. The three tracks reprise the billowing introspection of his 2020 debut for Brothers From Different Mothers , ‘Dédicace À Personne’ with a subtly refined palette and sound design, dematerialising traces elements of late ‘90s trance and up-to-the-second trap into thee gauziest, gently buoyant ambient space.

The trio of tax slot neatly into YOUTH's cross section of contemporary bedroom/living room/imaginary club space with a breezy mutability. ‘Drag Me Into the Void’ appears in subtly alternate mixes, bathing a trance siren vocal refrain in anaesthetising reverb and vapourized traces of emo-rap drums with a sublime sense of deferred gratification on the original, while nipping/tucking to more elusive allure in the ‘Euphoria’s death edit’. In the middle ‘Reverse Catharsis’ augments the syrupy ambient rap aesthetic with more pronounced woodblock percussion hinting at Burial hitting the downstroke, and lit up with killer, trancey hyper-blooz synth plucks. “Singing Warmia” is an attempt to deal with the lack of family archives and the inability to establish a relationship with the place of birth.

Instead of family stories, the album's material is photos of the artist's favorite places around Olsztyn (capital city of Warmia region), which were sonified using processes designed by the artists. Zosia Hołubowska follows Saidiya Hartman's critical fabulation, that is, the transformation of history that counters the violence of historical representations and archives. Singing Warmia expresses both the pain of exile and the gloomy beauty of the abandoned landscape: the slow current of the river grazed by tree branches.

This process concerns the landscape, or rather the soundscape inviting the voices of the spirits that inhabit it. The bends of the Łyna become the signals controlling the synthesizers. The arrangement of tree branches is translated into a melody, and the splashes of light on the waves of the river constitute a harmonic spectrum of sounds resembling the whispers and wailing of phantoms. This piece is another example of creative work with archives, following the "undoing" approach, which means deconstructing, collage reassembling, and animating the elements to reinterpret the performative and magical potential of the material.

The album is a rework of the 5 speaker concert commissioned by Canti Spazalizzati.

We present three dreamy songs by Áron Lőrinczi, marking the debut of his ambient alter ego. His style embraces improvisational and generative techniques, weaving together looping melodies and pointillistic textures.

Áron Lőrinczi is an electronic music composer and DJ, as wellas a member of the Műhely collective and label. He completedhis studies in Electronic Music and Media Art at theUniversity of Pécs in 2020 and began performing under thename Obwigszyh. His techno releases have enriched thecatalogs of Műhely, BRVTAL, and Subsist, while hisexperimental ambient works frequently appear under EXILES. Additionally, he has released a cassette through the Danishlabel Fallen Metropolis.

This release will be on Temporary Nites as a super-limited edition of just 10 vinyl copies.

Kin Teal (Bálint Haller) is a Budapest-based producer who makes organic and tactile music that’s rooted in club culture. So far, he has released two EPs (via London-based Tropopause Records and New York-based Human Pitch respectively), and his latest drop (‘Undercurrent’) was a single on Scuffed Recordings. The main aim of his project is to express the contrast and connection between nature and humanity through juxtaposing natural textures with machine-made ones, and this sensibility is ever so evident on ‘circadian’, his latest offering.

The five-track EP is tightly packed with unformalized and unpredictable bass music – as per Kin Teal’s ars poetica, heavily digital sounds are carefully intertwined with natural elements. ‘circadian’ is a polished, if not totally pristine body of work: the playfully raw, broken beats carry artifacts of living organisms. The human voice is a central element here; whether chopped and scattered or looped and ethereal, these vocal samples are what make the material really breathe. ‘circadian’ is peak body clock music condensed into 18-minute cycles.

estoc presents the newest manifestation of her artistic practice: an attempt to make sense of a world seemingly hellbent on violence as its chief export. Art written as a direct response to the conditions felt both at home and watched across oceans through a phone. This album exists as an acknowledgement that our fates are inextricably intertwined, yet, our (temporary) comfort is extracted from the third world. Across 10 tracks the question is: Are We Doomed to Bow to the Stupid and Cruel? Answers are posed and then brushed away, like dust from a shelf. By the end, nothing is settled and we are left with more questions than answers.

Collaborators and co-conspirators weave in and out of the compositions, their presence felt as both adornment, and as integral infrastructure. DJ Haram opens the album with ‘Heretic’. Her voice swims through crackling noise, throbbing basslines — a guided meditation as much as a late night conversation. ‘The Weight’ follows directly after. AZADI.mp3’s smoky chants hover in the air above a smouldering fire of trip hop drums and synths, devolving to a miasma of distortion and swirling screams. The next song, ‘Where Do We Go Now’, builds and swells with rumbling synths, arriving fully as breaks crash forward and Military Scientist’s voice cries out over a chaotic sea. The first solo composition of the album comes in the form of ‘The Poison of the Centre’. A solemn yet off-balance meditation of drums, cut over an uneven and shifting beat. This rhythmic fervor is multiplied tenfold on ‘No Glory’, a harsh bath of bass and drums, constantly fighting for space to breathe through the manufactured scarcity of the mix.

‘Scorched Earth’ lends us our first breath of fresh air. Mia Carucci sings a lullaby over growling instrumentation, Exploited Body’s co-production threatening to boil over at any moment. A momentary break in the clouds, a beam of sunlight shines through before being quickly swallowed back up by the storm; gone as quickly as it came. It is here that we plunge even deeper, as the heartbeat of ‘Heaven Defined for Another’ rattles through. Machinery and exasperated breathing become inexorable, both driven to their breaking point by a rolling wave of thunder. This mechanical terror roils forth on ‘Cradling’. Miedo Total sets clattering steam and cogs over crying strings that threaten to throw themselves to pieces. The penultimate entry sees Violence lend voice and production to ‘Bones Broken, Many Things Left Unsaid’ — a deep terror lurches, shuddering and crashing like ocean waves. A gentle chorus of strings ushers in the final piece, ‘Scratch a Liberal’ — a rare, but fleeting moment of tenderness on the album. Heavy towers of bass throw the composition into shadow, tension builds and grows before collapsing in on itself, revealing the fear and violence at the core of this project. At the end of it all, we are left alone to contemplate what is to be done.
