Part psych, part world, part tribal. The aptly named duo Mushrooms Project have an ease in which they blend a range of unique elements into cohesive and heady pieces of sonic art. Mondo Janga is an EP that avoids formula entirely, and can be club or home centrepieces. In our ears, their signature sound blends playful percussion, and a strong contingent of sample and synth exploration. That sound is showcased perfectly in these 3 tracks.

Carefully selected artists were enlisted to re-interpret the original visions. With 3 remixes of the title track Multi Culti’s Thomas Von Party took Janga to the late hours, with his deep and driving remix. While Twerking Class Heroes put their broken beat bliss stamp on the same and finally a tasteful and elegant organic interpretation by Italy’s rising Migra. Finally, Da Iguana slinks his way to another quirky and exciting remix of Mondo that will have you jumpin’.

Luckily it's Friday again and we can start the weekend with a new mix on our Vacanza Radio.

Before he played in clubs, festivals and open airs with collectives like ROSA and Muy Bien in Greifswald and later in Leipzig, Zappadeus grew up in Berlin with all kinds of electronic music and has been DJing for about 10 years. In the process, his originally minimalistic, deeper sound developed. Back to the 80s with a lot of synthwave and Italo sound. Vocals are essential and a few Trance elements shouldn't be missing either. From time to time he also likes to lower the pitch and experiment with instrumental Downtempo.

He has already taken part in various events such as Nation of Gondwana, 3000 Grad, Freiland or has been seen behind decks in clubs such as Mjut, So & So and Elipamanoke in Leipzig, ROSA in Greifswald or Zwischenbau in Rostock.

Heidewitzka, it’s a pleasure to have you on board the Vacanza ride. Grab yourself a drink and let the party begin!

Gili already collected vinyl for many years before she properly started mixing it. Since the end of 2019 she has also been playing in clubs and festivals around town such as Rotunde (Bochum), Tarmac or Szenit Festival and even Institut für Zukunft, Conne Island, Objekt Klein a in Dresden. Gili is also part of CLOSED and Zweite Reihe Halle.

Her DJ sets reflect her musical movement between different worlds in Düsseldorf, Halle and Leipzig, which have inspired and influenced her. Moving between different genres, she comes from Downbeat beginnings to Housy stops to Synth and Acid Sounds, Breaks and Bass and curiously brings it all together in her partly energetic, partly driving sets. What drives her is to do what makes her passionate.

We're just as passionate about the new radio and you should be too! Enjoy the trip!

Hailing from Leipzig Janthe’s made her way into the electronic scene only a few years back but now belongs to a group of aspiring (female) artists and collectives, which advocate for a visibility of females and under-represented people within the scene and possibly becoming representatives for a more equal and fair approach and access to the scene with all its different technical and cultural facets. It can’t be denied that Janthe’s day job tasks in the field of political education and on the contrary her musical commitment coincide and complement each other at the one point or the other just like electronic music or rather the scene itself has always had a political direction in its apolitically entity, even when latter has changed over the years - partly. With Torture the Artists Janthe discusses several ways of changes within the local scene of Leipzig, including the creation of venues for initially mentioned groups to follow musical ambitions among other things regarding the subject and also deviating from it in order to provide personal information how she first encountered the scene and started her musical career.

Spinning Beats returns for their next sort after release. Debuting his first solo EP, up this time is Dutch producer Fabio Santos - A chunky and not to be messed with release. Providing gritty basslines, monstruous drums and steel-sharped hats on the A-side combined with the contrasting B-side providing more of a warpy and funky cut, the addictive soundclash vocal will have it stuck in your mind bringing you back uncontrollably  for weeks.
