Description: this started life as the evening's warm up jam but ended up turning into something

a relationship was born between the piano and i at some point in the first half of the year 1990.
existenz was conceptualised in 2010 and established early in 2011.
since then, over 200 live improvisations and productions have been recorded, with ~185 of those being since March 2020 where an extended covid lockdown meant various forms of isolation for the best part of two years thereafter. Safety was sought from the sounds that were thought and felt.
Inprovisation is meditation, it is mindful, it is of the present moment always. it is of its position in time and space. it is my therapy, my sanctuary, my freedom and my empty mind.
this compilation follows the flourishing of an evolutaionary relationship between a musician and his piano, over a 13 year period, through the lens of the recording of the first two hundred improv jams and productions - from 2011 to 2024.

This is my 3 hour dj set recorded at the Alchemy stage at the most amazing Boom Festival in Portugal. Enjoy this set and hopefully you can all beam yourself back onto that afternoon where we all came together to dance, smile and love. 

Me personally I will never forget this day. Thanks to all the beautiful people that made this day unforgetable.
