Before meeting and creating Sub Imperium in mid-2019, with the express purpose of their first show together, the members had been playing and producing independently for ten years. The creative symbiosis has served to create their own signature sound that transcends styles and, as they themselves say, "their music comes from somewhere in techno, and it tends to be dynamic and edgy, accented by a dark sound." The team has already made their mark with their hybrid live shows at the Inwine event series, RAF25, Blank's Big Rave, Abbey, Monasterio and m_division. 

Sub Imperium has ten albums under their belt and one work ,in CD format, released on a French label. Also vinyl works will be released this year.

This mix was live recorded in one of their latest event.

𝐎𝐆𝐌𝐀𝐇 - originally from Toulouse and based in Brittany, France, Ogmah is a multi-faceted industrial techno and hardcore DJ/producer. He discovered hard music 12 years ago with hardcore, and created his own style mixing harsh industrial sounds, dark ambiances and devastating kicks. His fast, precise, brutal and unpredictable mixing style has allowed him to play on several occasions in Hungary, Spain, Switzerland and all over France, alongside artists like KRTM, Ansome, Endlec, Manni Dee, NN, Swarm Intelligence, ZNZL, 14anger, WNDRLST, or Adamant Scream. He has released numerous singles and EPs on international labels such as Green Fetish, Vast Perception, Omen Recordings, Normative, Pure Hate, Home Mort, and his tracks have been played by artists such as Nico Moreno, Ayarcana, Cassie Raptor, Ophidian, Rebekah, Mickey Nox, Rorganic or Kenny Campbell. Founder of Askorn Records, he created his label in 2018 alongside Opäk and Ankù, on which he produced more than 5 VAs, 15 EPs, and organized techno events across France.

Laura is a DJ and sound artist from the UK. Her passion for techno and love for working with sound have earned her a residency with Birmingham Techno and the opportunity to collaborate on a number of creative sound projects, which allow her to express her love for creating captivating sonic environments. 
Her sets guide you from hypnotic tones through immersive, groove infused beats, manifesting in dark, raw, and driving techno.

Birmingham sound is a form of Techno that emerged in Birmingham, UK in the mid-1990s, often considered a major early style of Industrial Techno. Characterized by hard, fast, and mechanical beats with Acid Techno elements, the genre would introduce a novel approach uncommon to techno at the time, stripping it from the "funky" sound common in early techno, tied with its Detroit Techno and Electro origins. The Birmingham sound is also distinct from later industrial techno innovations in that it focuses on cold, futuristic rhythms that typically don't feature the noisier, harsher elements of later industrial techno, and instead prioritizes hypnotic, dense, and relentless tracks.

Birmingham sound was pioneered by producers Regis, Surgeon, and Female, and is best represented by the output of their label Downwards. The genre was heavily inspired by 1980s British Synthpop and Post-Punk - in particular the music released by labels such as Some Bizzare and Mute Records. The Birmingham scene would greatly inspire and help the rise of more minimal and harsh techno styles like later industrial techno (and the Hardcore [EDM] genres it influenced), and certain styles of Minimal Techno. The style would spread outside Birmingham, inspiring producers from other places such as Umek. The Sandwell District label/collective, which was founded by Regis and Female, would continue to innvoate within the genre.

Arnold Štigler, born in 1987 in Osijek, Croatia, is a versatile DJ and producer known by two aliases: Noise Explicit for Industrial, Hypnotic, RAW, and Dark Hard Techno, and DJ Noldar for Deep, Funky, and Tech House. 
With a 16-year career in DJing, Štigler initially started as a house DJ but transitioned to techno after seven years, following his passion for the genre.
Štigler's most popular release is the "Fly EP" on Reload Records. He has performed at smaller festivals such as Baranja Sound Fest 2 and 4, as well as in clubs around Osijek. 

As a producer, he has releases on various labels including Elments Records, Tentaculos Records, Undercool Productions, Reload Records, Opensource Division, High Contrast, and Life Sentence Rec.
Throughout his career, Štigler has shared the stage with notable artists such as Jay Lumen, Marko Milosavljevic, Kobaya, Microseven, Igor Garnier, Marc Times, and Roce, among others
