FIRE IN THE LAKE

“fire in the lake” is the name of hexagram 49 of the I CHING: in Chinese is KO, which means “revolution.” fire below and lake above, the opposite forces, combat and destroy each other, a drastic change a revolution is needed.

according to Greek mythology those who gazed into the eyes of Medusa would turn to stone. no one could escape the inexorable stare of Medusa. Medusa is the contemporary world in which we live. we feel like we are petrified by this horrible everyday reality, the so-called “normality” including the pandemics. the only hero able to cut off Medusa’s head is Perseus, who flies with winged sandals; Perseus, who does not turn his gaze upon the face of the Gorgon but only upon her image reflected in his bronze shield. to cut off Medusa’s head without being turned to stone, Perseus supports himself on the very lightest of things, the winds and the clouds, and fixes his gaze upon what can be revealed only by indirect vision, an image caught in a mirror. sounds, rhythms, radio voices, blend quickly here together but with different styles and approaches. everything is there to cut the head of MEDUSA.
FIRE is the heath of the city now described by Don De Lillo in White Noise. it is the wild animals roaring in the zoo at night. it is the riots against racist and economic violence. it is the unstoppable burning provoked by climate change.
FLUXUS is the unexpected flow of new ideas, the flow of creativity and emotions, the flow of revolution breaking the heaviness of the past and the dull ness of the present.
now it is time to say enough! if to be a REBEL is the only answer, let’s hit them strongly before they see us. The Little Kidders a gang of rebels by Rudy Rucker are back! pump it up the volume!
MISS TAKES or mistakes … are the ones done during a revolutionary process, language mistakes or more? they say it is impossible to avoid them, the end justify the means, but too many times we are left with the means alone. it is time to change!
 JOY is the pleasure, the freshness of a nice walking outdoor on Saturday morning, any change, any revolution has to consider that.  in other words, lightness, irony, poetry, imagination should not be forgotten. they have to become the powerful tools for change.
the 4 HORSEMEN of the Apocalypse appear in the New Testament's final book, Revelation, where they are named as punishments from God. they are the drastic change that destroy everything to make room for the new
after any fundamental change, any revolution, the mystery of life is still there, the universal ZEBRA, mystery of the night, love/fear of the dark...
