JVXTA is a DJ and producer based in London (UK). He also co-founded the label Hardmatter.
Here, Scissor And Thread, the Brooklyn imprint headed by Francis Harris and Anthony Collins share JVXTA’s debut album - Euston Blues.
The album is a collection of moods and textures, from woozy soundscapes like opener No One Needs to Know and Voyager, to grooving, dusty house tracks like Hold On, Water Temple and Lost in Place.
Tracks develop from ambient textures into leftfield beat excursions (Beyond) and incorporate thoughtful samples such as the spoken word poetry in The Stolen Child.
Elements of free improvisation and experimentation pepper the album, while a strong thread of atmospheric cohesion winds its way through the eight tracks - making Euston Blues a truly rewarding and rich listening experience.
"Euston Blues synthesises deep chords, classic house rhythms and jazz laden influences to chronicle an intimate journey of physical and psychological isolation." says Charles Field, the man behind the JVXTA project.
"Scope is relative and this transposition is explored from the seclusion of a single room to the expanses of the Beyond".
Euston Blues is available as a four-track vinyl EP and full digital album from March, 24th on Scissor And Thread.

As an eager and restless digger, Erikas has been involved in the Lithuanian music scene for over 5 years at various record shops, clubs, bars, and festival nights. In addition to this, he is a crew member of independent community voice of Radio Vilnius.

In the words of Roudtraxx "I feel glad to contribute, devote and stay true to myself. Music culture & the scene guide to interesting feelings, discoveries, understandings. Even a simple hour-long DJ mix may impact."

Expect hints of a rolling acid, twangy tech and progressive house.

Dr.Nojoke's new EP "Inpi Mari" will be released on 3 rd of October via CLIKNO featuring four minimal techno tracks about a lost paradise.

Inpi Mari is Dr. Nojoke's third EP in a series about fictional islands that are about to sink (after Kakawawa and Oiroa, both on Klangscheiben), in which he describes musically the conflict between consumerism and hedonism with the need to act and take responsibility in complex rhythmic and melodic pattern with a detached melancholic note.

It's no secret that we have a huge problem with plastic waste. However, our societies and economic connections are so complex that it seems almost impossible to avoid. We have images in our minds of floating plastic carpets the size of entire countries and paradise beaches littered with plastic waste, not to mention the nanoparticles in our food chain.

Inpi Mari sounds chic and aesthetic like plastic from the factory, with seductive grooves, but also sad because of the helplessness and powerlessness.
