Glasgow-based producer and INDEX:Records co-owner Conna Haraway unveils his debut solo release on Theory Therapy – 8 tracks of luminous electronics and restless textures too amorphous to be neatly categorised into a particular genre. Over 40+ minutes, the co:clear founder fuses dubbed-out illbient abstractions, voluminous low end and aquatic gurgles into unconventional analgesic soundscapes. The overall result is something immersive, visceral, and psychedelic – a fully-fledged sound that sits somewhere between delirium and bliss.

Lusidiq features 3 remixes by Seoul duo Salamanda, Philadelphia-based DJ and producer Opheliaxz, and Adam Dove, best known as sound artist Nexcyia.

Conna Haraway - The Telephone Is Broken

Sonic storytelling from Glasgow's ambient power duo Somewhere Press. The mix is, according to Caapi and Lizzie Urquhart, a musing on the Divine Feminine, which got me thinking about something James Hillman, archon of all things archetypal, said about the study of Beauty. Apparently (so says James) the ancient root of the word "Aesthetics" comes close to meaning "I breathe in" and the mixes, releases and vibe of Somewhere Press has certainly breathed something beautiful into Glasgow's musical landscape. Somewhere Press is a Glasgow-based record label that embodies the emotive, narrative-led spaces in sound work, uplifting outsider voices and queering notions of experimental music and print. 

This mix explores the discrepant sounds of dream states.
Ethereal choral vocals are entangled with distorted and disturbed voices and a drifting psychedelic ambience is broken apart by rumbling atmospheres of industrial.
As layers break apart, raw and resonant drones float beneath the surface; an opiated, eternal delirium.
