KHIDI launches KHIDI Digital devoted to cross-genre orientated electronic music.

Club KHIDI's passion for electronic music is about to reach a new level with its launch of KHIDI Digital.
Alongside peak-time oriented techno, the new digital platform will include cross-genre productions that resonate with a rapidly changing world and cultural environment. The main goal with the label is to bring techno and avant-garde electronic music closer together that will contribute to a cultural awakening and critique of current aesthetic conventions.

The first one is from Lemna, a Japanese composer, producer and sound designer. Lemna's rich musical background from different genres has led to a natural progression into cross-genre productions with a rhythmically experimental approach that balances ambient with techno.

When you reach this state, in order for the light to maintain its speed, time would stop as it takes an infinite amount of time for light to reach 300 million meters.

‘Kronosphere’ is trying to define this phenomenon by reproducing the sensation of an outbursting zen state.
This is a frozen moment when everything is resonating in beautiful harmony.
The sounds are creating a sense of being transported through different sublayers of reality, resulting in a sonic voyage into the unknown depths of the psyche.

'Even though 'Miejsca w techno' have once again asked me to record a set for 'Futura', I've stubbornly stood by my original plan to deliver something for their original series of 'MWTG'. 
My debut podcast for them ended up in the equally great 'Retrospect' part, I've come to a couple of conclusions and after tidying my collection up I've come up with something that finally belongs where I'd initially set out to have it published. So these will be some places within TECHNO, but also techno-adjacent syncopated side-steps (often made by artists originating from bass music). I find it hard to stick to just one style in a set, plus I've set myself a challenge of letting the tunes breathe a bit more than I usually would when playing them out in a club. The result is an almost 2 hours worth of a journey through what resonates with me the most in this part of music. BTW if after listening to these two mixes someone still hopes to hear a Futura appearance from yours truly - it's still on the table, thankfully.'

He has many faces: a DJ, promoter, radio show host and producer, but Alegria is first and foremost a devoted fan and true musical nerd. Together with his @drumobsession collective he’s spent many years educating crowds and promoting the best that bass music has to offer.

The DJ world knows him mostly for his versatility, digging and the ability to connect seemingly distant vibes and styles together in the mix: from the slower BPMs of electro, UK garage, breakbeat, house, dubstep, business techno (!) and even ambient; all the way to uptempo genres of UK hardcore / rave, footwork and his musical motherland of jungle / drum & bass. The work he put into honing his skill and selection bore fruit in bookings across clubs and festivals (both in Poland and abroad), as well as earned him recognition in the 'Munoludy' public vote (where he was awarded the 'Polish Bass DJ of 20XX' title for the years of 2019/2020).

His promoter spirit has been manifesting itself in the bookings DrumObsession has organised, and he uses his two weekly radio shows to spread knowledge and love for the music every Tuesday on @bassdrive (DrumObsession) and every Wednesday on Radio Afera (Połamana Lekkość Bitu).

In 2021 Alegria’s debut EP - 'Petrograd' (which came out on the California-based @modernconveniences saw the light of day. His music also got released on charity compilations ('Cut The Wire' by @oramicspl and 'Together With Ukraine' which he was heavily involved in putting together!) and CD, cassette and vinyl debuts soon followed. 2024 is set to see two follow-up original EPs, a highly-anticipated debut on the cult @artikal-music-uk, as well as further appearances on vinyl.

Margus Löve has been a well known name to darktronica scientists over the years. The solo artist’s starting point after the change of millennium became the technoid end of drum&bass with the bubbling bass waves of speed garage and Löve’s style became substantially directed by dubstep that gained ground at the start of the 2000s. The name L-OW successfully propagated the bass-loving vibe at the prime time of dubstep, and in the background the dub-techno-esque parallel project 1DERL& got more and more off the ground. Founding of the label Processed in 2012 and the release of 1DERL&’s debut album became a spiritual turning point – the allure of the sounds of dubstep shifted to the background and darker soundscapes found a new home in cooler techno trances. Margus Löve has moved still deeper in the swamp of sounds with his new project Exit Safe Mode that is striving to cut through the safety nets and broaden the palette of sounds. The sounds are complemented by darker ambiences and rhythmic skeletons, while staying essentially loyal to the pulsating force of techno. It’s time to discover the shady territories beyond the untrodden tracks.
