Vomvo is back with a cinematic story by the Danish artist Pete Oak. He is definitely one of the men to follow this year. Pete presents an amazing selection of pure electronic sounds giving his personal touch and offering his own soundtrack. Vomvo is a conceptual album created by Sincopat that gives a different artist every year the chance to orchestrate a personal vision of his sound. Darlyn Vlys was the first one to develop this concept and AFFKT continued last year with another stunning collection. In 2007, we have Pete Oak as the leader, so let's enjoy the journey: "For this VOMVO I wanted to create a dark, melancholic and emotional mood. I’m a big fan of the dark aspect of house music. For me it brings out a lot of emotions and joy - it pulls me into a small universe with no worries, no hate, no pain and no Donald Trumps - only love”. “All the music is handpicked from producers that I have worked with in one-way or another. Big and small artists - all of whom got something unique to bring to the table. I’m really thrilled and proud with the result. In 2016, Johannes Brecht and Christian Prommer started a project together called Voix Grave, where they composed a classical piece of music together, and subsequently each made their own electronic music interpretation of it. The project got wide recognition, with Johannes Brechts version even keeping the #1 position of Beatports Deep House Charts for weeks. 

Now, in 2019, its time for the follow up. The title: Page Blanche. Progressive staccato dabs on the viola set a gloomy scenery, when a gentle bassoon starts to caress the composition with its warm tones. More dark strings enter and crescendo into almost a march, then dissolving into a quiet violin whisper, only to return to full staccato force, played sul ponticello.

Johannes Brechts interpretation is a driving melodic Techno sabre, cutting through dark and hazy club rooms. The rapid arpeggios seem like flickering lights within the majestic string arrangement.

Christian Prommers take on Page Blanche is a more dramatic one, with additional pronounced synthesizer steps, creating a melancholic aura around the arrangement

Exclusive Ivory 'El Dorado (Mathias Schober's Euphoric Remix)'

Nebula Sounds is Manchester's new born record label bringing these melodic uplifting euphoric moments that the local scene once became known for back. After implementing an event series in the northern part of England Nebula Sounds now does the thing properly and founds a label. For the debut Italian DJ and producer Ivory, who's already showcased his music at one of the Nebula events, contributes two original tracks to the EP, 'El Dorado' and 'Tikuna'. While 'Tikuna' remains untouched Baime and Lossless label head Mathias Schober deliver altogether three remix approaches for 'El Dorado' covering the whole range of a night out without sounding arbitrary. Mathias' 'Euphoric Remix' of 'El Dorado' is up to date his most techno-esque take but skillfully captures the northern vibe and adds, as the remix title suggests, an unabated euphoria, which is musically depicted by warm pads and chords that release the tension that Schober built up within the first four and a half minutes to then be taken up and blossom in the beauty of melodic dreams.

Ivory's EP 'El Dorado' will be released on Nebula Sounds on July 26th, 2019.
