Slowly and loudly, Jamie Tolley & The Gang’s world domination Evil Plans start to take shape. The next step of their diabolical scheme is taking over Spain using their infiltrated agent in Madrid, Javier Busto (FREEDL009/022). Despite the previous warning (Javier has already contributed to the sordid plot by delivering a stunning remix to BTCOP’s “Lexeme / I so Late” EP), the local authorities simply do not have the resources to prevent the advance of JB and his squad: Spanish Azaria, British Rude Audio, and Albanian Uj Pa Gaz (SXDNS113) joined this phase of the conspiracy – called “Mood Swing” – with impossible versions.

Jokes aside, our dear friend Javier Busto did it again, peeps! He simply does not get tired of delivering high-quality stuff. The remix we selected to premiere/review is also august. Uj Pa Gaz, to begin with, decided to pitch the original up… considerably: From 112 to 121. He must have thought, “what a great tune, but I really want to sweat my ass off dancing to it”. Mission accomplished, we would say. He swung the mood of Javi’s piece and delivered a hellish interpretation, devoted to bringing chaos to the dance floor (when we are authorized to go back, of course). Uj’s signature sonority is there: Shards of Trance, Techno, and Disco, seamlessly combined, providing an even richer theme inasmuch as lots of the original was preserved. Kudos!

The French artist opens his treasure box for us and presents three tracks that enchanted us right after the first listen. It starts with the track Slow Burn, which finds its origin in a conversation with Kristian from Âme the early stages of a DJ set and building tension. INVŌKER has translated this idea into his sound and in an impressive tune that keeps the energy through out all the 6:33 min. The second track I:Hope kicked us right from the beginning, written in the middle of the pandemic, INVŌKER says. The track features a deep bassline filling up the room and holding up the light of hope. "Blinded By The Noise" rounds up the package, tying the tracks together with its sound design. Are We Dreaming?

ST028 - INVŌKER - Blinded By The Noise

Exclusive: Dario Dea, Sacha Muki - Libera (Lauer 'Breaks' Remix)

Londoner's by choice Dario Des and Sacha Muki are up next on Paradiso Records with their Adastra EP, a six-tracker that carries its listeners through the different facets of electronic music with a Disco-esque impact. The three tracks are equally split into three original takes and three remixes, which come from Time To Sleep, Permanent Vacation co-label head Benjamin Fröhlich and Frankfurt synth-wizard Lauer, who shows us his more break-ish side with the remix treatment of Libera. However, Philipp, Lauer's first name, not only adds the before mentioned note to the track but also implements an Acid- and a grandiose synth-line, with all three directions being united under one roof creating a genre-hybrid that aims at the dance floors. 

Dario Dea and Sacha Muki's EP Adastra will be released on Paradiso Records on February 21st, 2022.

EXCLUSIVE: Dario Dea, Sacha Muki - Libera (Lauer 'Breaks' Remix) [Paradiso Records]

Olivia (@oliviabahouis) & Adrian Csanak (@csanak) is a Slovakia-based Dj duo formed by spouses Lenka and Adrián. In the beginning they performed separately, as Olivia preferred more industrial techno and Adrian melodic techno. Over time, they found each other musically and began to play B2B something completely different. Their sound is a fusion of indie dance, slow techno, new wave, post disco with punk & rock influences. It is a very dancefloor sound with lots of energy but it´s also dark and deep. They play mainly for audiences throughout Slovakia at various club events or festivals.
