Today’s premiere showcases one of Ireland’s most promising techno DJs and producers Aero as he releases on the acclaimed Dublin-based imprint Research Label, titled ‘Through The Cracks’. This sonically varied composition highlights Aero’s capability for creating consistently top-drawer dance music ideal for dance floors far and wide.

Aero, who has become one of the most prolific Irish techno artists in recent times by means of grit and determination, is carving out a career wrapped around the foundations of purist techno in standout fashion. He boasts an array of quality releases on Blackaxon, Fever Records, Concrete Berlin and more, now adding a full EP with Research to his already impressive discography. Gaining overwhelming support from artists right across the industry such as Freddy K, Amelie Lens, Slam, Richie Hawtin, Marcel Fengler, Blasha & Allatt and so on. Aero’s knack for shelling out consistent releases is infectious and clearly shines through here once again.

The Dubliner’s punishing style of techno has been haunting Irish dancefloors for over half a decade, as Aero’s deep knowledge of the genre sees him weave through hard-edged and funk-laced cuts from various time periods with ease. Much of this has a direct influence on his own productions that can be heard in his latest ‘Through The Cracks’ release and today’s premiere ‘Piss In The Wind’ in particular. The foundations for Clergy were first built in Manchester in the spring of 2015 with the release of Cleric’s ‘Codes Of Chaos’ EP. It marked the dawn of a new day for the UK techno doyen - whose stock as a DJ and producer was already soaring, but whose inimitable prowess for A&R was still yet to be recognised. Ten years, 40 releases and countless performances across the globe later, Cleric’s stock in the industry is now priceless.

Ten VA’s are already in motion, to celebrate the 10 Years Of Clergy this year, and the second instalment titled ‘Beta’ has another 5 original tracks, closing off with a remix from Cleric, for a track from the labels extensive catalogue over the years.

“I like to give unknown artists a chance to rub shoulders with big names on our releases, not pre-judging their music based on the size of their profile. On the flip, ‘Escape The Echo Chamber’ is a fun affair - distorted keys to spiral out to - big tip for the wee hours! ‘Take It Easy’ nods to UK sounds and kickin 4/4 beat. Closing track, ‘Sun Over I-5 South’ is stripped back dynamic, techy groover, perfect for the twilight zone spinners with a CPH sound.
