ZuDzu - Sync With Me (demo)

A humble shepherd was tired after a long day of work. So, he wandered into a forest to find a cool, soft place to rest. At first, it seemed like any other forest - quiet, still and green. But the more he walked, the more he realized that it was anything but quiet. Or still. The silence was filled with rustling, humming, singing. Every crack in the ground was an opportunity for new things to grow. Every inch filled with life. An ecosystem full of randomness and complexity. And yet it was comforting - a home to countless creatures. And what started as a tired shepherd’s search for sleep somehow turned into a magical journey. 

He befriended little rabbits and deer. He bathed in a stream and played in the sun. As night fell, the forest did not sleep. It seemed to glow, to dance to a rhythm that he could not grasp. But he started to dance too. Soon he began to understand the way the forest worked. The shepherd thought about the interconnectedness of the universe, how each living thing supports and depends on each other. Then suddenly, the fragility of the breathing, living system around him became clear, almost palpable. It could all be gone in a few decades – just a blink of an eye for an ancient forest that had spent millennia growing, shrinking, adapting, overcoming, all in perfect, harmonious balance.

He takes us on a journey with dj sets mixes concocted with love to awaken all our senses, where the heat of the ice cube blends wonderfully with the coldness of the sun.

His latest EP PANGAEA was released by Urban Cosmonaut Radio this year. Other EPs have already been released by Numa Records, Ohxala Record, Fine Beatz Records... and Original tracks are also featured on several compilations.
He has remixed quite a bit for several artists and labels (Yemanjo, Rafael Aragon, Hug Records, Cosmovision Record…) & He likes to produce special versions of songs he loves.

Our fourth year running was meant to be an in-person only event, but, due to circumstances beyond our control, we resorted back to streaming this extremely special annual celebration -- and it is was a doozy. A comprehensive mix of moods, melodies, and old, crackling records, this set, complete with charming imperfections and depth, is a 100% on-the-fly, all-vinyl capture of more classics from the golden age of progressive house and trance. Enjoy ☯

I started out with a couple of slow jams before playing a few cuts deliberately at the wrong speed. It was meant to compliment the chugging headspace I was in (I had a cold, no it's not why we canceled). Then I moved on to some rare and deep prog house selections, which created a genuinely unique and comfortable atmosphere. There's some anthems, builders and bangers before a turn for darker cuts, setting the following DJ up for a supremely dark tribal house installation.

Etsuko Ichikawa talked about her experiences and concept behind the making of Echo at Satsop film and sound installation that was exhibited at Jack Straw Cultural Center in Seattle from March through April 2014.

This project was prompted by Fukushima triple disaster, Japan's devastating earthquake, tsunami, and aftermath happened on March 11, 2011. The special presentation and gathering was held on March 11th, the third anniversary of the event providing the opportunities to share concerns on ongoing nuclear effects and to have some dialogues.
