Jeremy Hyman steps up to FT with the first of two 12" EPs that are a coordinated blast of colorful, galaxy-edge plastic techno from the master percussionist who moonlights in Lifted, Boredoms, Animal Collective, and more. Always rhythmatic in exciting ways, Hyman's drum programming here is more arms than buttons, injecting a fly human element in the 12". "Slide" does what it says with amazing technoid bass work and a propulsive sense of timing, "Madness" hovers and falls and hovers again, and "Tinted Mirror" is some sort of Foodman-meets-Prescription-Records house symphony, rising and rising and rising. Parallel Minds is a new Toronto-based collective of musicians, DJs, and graphic artists bringing compelling music and art to the major Canadian city.

For their inaugural VA release, the label's three co-founders - Ciel, Daniel 58 and Yohei S. - offer up four diverse cuts of house, breakbeat, and hardcore that will "energize your body and comfort your soul."

Ahead of the release on April 11, Ciel has handed over the EP's A1 track 'Hind Sight is 360' - a 134 bpm tune with wistful pads, bubbly percussion and coarse lows. The charming dancefloor track features all of the trademark production characteristics that make Ciel one of the most compelling producers in the scene today.

Some even call it a stimulative vibratory influenceable metamorphosis. Others, like Susan’s “De Sluwe Vos”, calls it a Trans Magnetic Stimulation. Fede Lng returns to self-owned Axe On Wax with Flight Mode EP; a cloud drifting four cut EP containing two originals in which the man himself describes as "the most chilled stuff I've ever done". It's not gone without notice, with his two previous records now veering away from his hallmark dance-floor lead work and taking on a more considered melodic form. The two remaining tracks come from Ciel and Yu Su, who step up to remix duty this time round, showcasing two unsurprisingly beautiful re-imaginations of the original cuts.
